Why does she start crying?

She isn't really crying lol. It's a little skit where Oda is like "Show me your nail color! Oh, it's brown?" and Chii gets pretend sad and bawls "It's orange~~" then Oda repeats it and Chii pretends cries .

Chii finished by making an excuse and saying "Blood orange" ｘD

That's it, except the part of the subtitles where Oda says ”I don't understand why”　should be "I have no idea what you're saying".

 

Ah, I hadn't share this yet but I received one of the signed photobooks they sent out. I put a paper over my actual last name . Laughed when I saw the drawing of a winking Ponchan (she knows I love her dog, lol).

That's not a bear but her dog Ponchan . I use my actual name with the members, though a lot of fans use nicknames.

(I think I remember members giving her guff about this on Morning Jogakuin...)

What’s happened with Chii’s singing recently, have I missed something ? I’ve noticed all of her live lines seem to have turned into duo lines where you can’t hear her singing ?

Yeah it's weird. She's also the only one without a line in the new single...

In the country girls graduation concert she heard very badly from the voice, she may have it damaged and is in a treatment, I doubt it is a graduation, she is very young, and is one of the aces of Morning Musume today, and if she were to leave she already had her chance, I think she should be in a treatment.

I also think she is currently having some issues with her voice, maybe vocal nodules which is a common occurrence with H!P members.

I am really happy she is back to black hair! She looked so beautiful in the final CG concert and the H!P Countdown. 

 

She's had some questionable hairstyles last year, so this is a very pleasant and long expected change.

 

I hope her voice will get in a better condition soon, hopefully they're helping her get it treated. I never got to comment on it but I am very happy Chii is staying in H!P even with all the other CG members graduating. She is also my current MM oshi, so I'm hoping 2020 will be a great year for her.

She's had a fair bit of stress recently as well, so that could also be a factor. When Karin lost her voice for a time a while back, I recall that it was also treated in part as a psychological issue. Vocal nodules are common enough that I'm sure they'll look into it, but we can only really wait and see.

Chisaki has been diagnosed with vocal cord nodules, she will still perform at concerts but she won’t be singing.
