Morito Chisaki (森戸知沙希) is a member of Morning Musume '18 and Country Girls. Prior to joining H!P, she was a member of CoCoRo Gakuen.

 

Chisaki joined Morning Musume '17 on June 26, 2017 as the 14th generation. She'll concurrently be a member of Morning Musume and Country Girls.

Yes I think she's got a good dose of Mayuyu in her too.

 

The interesting thing for me about her is that this literally looks like a sport style transfer of CoCoRo Gakuen's centre to H!P. Apparently her graduation was announced on the 29the October and her graduation live was only this Saturday. But if she came from MM's 12ki audition then it means she was allowed like other before her (Sasaki Rikako) to audition despite apparently already being in group. I guess this is down to whatever contractual arrangement or lack of she had with her former group.

 

It's also now indisputable H!P are actively trawling regional Indie Idol groups for ready to go members. I kind of feel sorry for those groups losing their greatest assets but at the same time it's very much to H!P's gain, and those individuals swap home town obscurity for a national profile potential stardom and a decent contract. (I wonder if UF give any compensation to the group who loses out though?)

Following the KSS some months back this girl somehow reminds me of Moritaka Chisato (the name) and a hint of Maeda Irori (the face.)

Hmm, I wonder if she came across as too much of an idol during the Golden audition and that's why she might not have been chosen? In a way, her background was probably a sort of detriment because part of the whole mystique of MM is about growing into an idol, maybe someone just a bit too polished wasn't what they were looking for, hence someone like Ogata getting in...

 

It's also very smart of HP to look at the regional groups... the days of finding an ace off the streets with no vocal/dance training at all are sort of gone; girls with the talent and dedication to want to be idols are probably going the regional idol route or the performance school route. If you get to pick up an almost ready made product for free (I'm assuming for free, don't know if she had to get out of a contract or such), I think that's a pretty good deal that they should be taking.

I think you hit the nail on the head.   Chisaki is too much of a professional idol for MM.   It's the same reason why Rikako and Manakan weren't admitted -- they don't fit the MM image.

 

I also agree she looks a lot like Mayuyu.    I personally love that kind of look, but it's probably too AKB for hardcore Momusu fans.
