Also what do you mean trying too hard to be cute? That's how Sakura is As for The Girls Live, that outfit co-ordination segment was full of Sakura being cute. Unless I watching a totally different episode altogether

Summary (please keep in mind that my understanding of japanese is pretty basic, feel free to correct me):

Mizuki: "Playing the role of Iota, I'm Fukumura Mizuki."
Maa-chan: "Playing the role of Dice, I'm Sato Masaki."
Sakura: "Playing the role of Rosewood§$&/Z*!?+#" *stumbles across words*
Mizuki:"Oi!"
Oda's excuse is that this comment is shot right after the last performance. So after she got her introduction right and they congratulate each other for having worked hard, they say that their characters actually didn't interact much in the play. Mizuki let's Rosewood talk, Sakura attempts to start, but Maa-chan repeats "Zutto, Rosewood" (the words sound similar) for herself. Sakura: "I'm talking right now!". Now she is able to remind everyone that this is her second time in a play. In Lilium she got a lot to sing, however her dialogue parts didn't even fill one page. This time she had - "don!" - much more. Mizuki adds that there was alpha and beta version, too. Sakura wondered if she'd be ok with so many talking parts and also because she intervened in the love triangle. There were a lot of things she worried about. The whole thing was really deep and a nice experience. (I'm not sure about the next part) Mizuki tells her that Rosewoods feelings were better understood every time, Sakura thought about the character like: "What's with this girl?" at first. Fuku-chan compliments her, that at first it was just Oda-chan playing, but after some time she became Rosewood more and more.
Fuku-chan is Planet Alphas strongest/mightiest personality and she was always somehow involved in the conflicts between Sakura, Asada and Kiri (Literally "'Get in the way of their conflicts" Maa-chan: "In the way!"). Of course Iota acts in the name of the Planet, but it felt like she had her heart into it sometimes. She watches over everyone and is a though, but nice person. Thanks to Iota's confident way of speaking Fuku-chan might have become stronger herself. In addition, she was in a play directed by Yoshida Ken-san before, so she wanted to show him how much she has grown. So today after the play was over she got a thumbs up from him, which made her really happy. If she'll ever star in one of his plays again she wants to prove to him that she has grown even more.
Sato states that Dice's way of talking is rude, likes to play around and so on. So it was basicly like she was able to show herself, not being herself (Maa-chan language. I think she mans that the character resembles her in the basics but she wouldn't actually behave like that). So in a good sense, Dice was a part of Maa-chan.

Ah I totally get the try too hard for cute thing. I facepalm with all of those idents though, but she was not very natural.

Can someone explain to me exactly how Sakura was not being cute and being unnatural in that ident? I don't think it looked forced at all, but maybe that's just me.

btw, Even though someone already seems to have uploaded Morning Musume DVD Magazine Vol 73 to the tracker I will still be making a DVDrip when I get my copy and uploading it to the tracker because not everyone is able to watch RAR files on their computer In the meantime I will be using the files from the RAR file to make some video clips and upload them to MediaFire

Cute, well yeah, all the girls look cute and act cute in the idents, nobody is saying she isn't cute. But eh, like acting, she didn't feel natural, like ofc this idents are not natural but she was forcing the cute act too much. I mean, Sakura is by all means cute, but she has this tendency, imo, to hmm, force herself into the cute act. She used to do it more when she joined though. And this is just my opinion ofc. I don't think I ever read something negative from you towards Sakura she'd be happy.

 

I still have to watch so many magazines. X/ I haven't watch the dance in one of those magazines, I can't remember if it was with Ayu or with Maa-chan.

For me sakura is an akward cute, a cute weirdo, before she acts more childish than cute, but sadly it's like she feels the feeling like act more mature because her position in the group, kinda what happened to riho, but when they are with persons than made them feel confortable they can act cute an goofy all they want.
I think maa-chan more than cute she is absolutly moeeee, MOOEEE maa chan and cute sakura, that's my opinion.

I sometimes worry that Sakura sees the comments about her saying that she's not cute and calling her gross and worse in regards to any photos or screencaps or videos posted of where she's looking very pretty or cute and thinks that she's not cute enough and tries really hard to be more appealing. She shouldn't have to. Just because a bunch of silly anti-fans are rude about her it doesn't mean that she needs to do anything to get them to change their minds. I've been through an experience like that when I was being bullied in school and once I stopped trying to please everyone and started being myself I was much happier I hope Sakura can find a balance where she is able to be herself whilst still being able to carry out her role as a member of Morning Musume for the fans, and by that I mean all the fans including the Japanese fans who treat her with respect and kindness and are nothing but sweet to her It'll help her to be stronger and will be good in helping her to be able to meet her goal of being able to go on being part of Morning Musume for the same amount of time as C-ute have been around for

Lol but this time i agree she looked cute, but everyone has their perspective, sometimes she looks weird acting cute, but I find that super cute, and I love sakura natural cute, the thing is a lot of people find her really sexy, seductive, sensual etc, maybe is because, her body and her face, she has facial faction very sensual, and I guess that's why sakura since the beggining was categorized like sexy, maybe you male fans can say why?, as a hetero female I find her more adoooorable cute than sexy, and I think sakura is a cute person caught in a body of a sexy lady.
