I have to admit that HKT is pretty a huge white spot on the 48 map in my head — I don't know much about them. Sadly they don't have so much media appearances too that would help to resolve this issue, so the last AKBingo! episode (#171) pretty much was the first real time I saw/ noticed some of the HKT girls in action.

So I just want to comment here, that this girl really has an ultra radiant and adoring smile.

Haruppi's always been my HKT #2 to Uitan, but I think they'll have to share #1 for a bit while I figure out where to go with my HKT oshi. I'm kind of really obsessed with Haruppi at the moment. Can't wait to get Manatsu so I can watch for her.

She's going to be a seriously beautiful girl in 3 or 4 years time, I still haven't figured out why she was not the one elected at the senbatsu.

As I understand it, after Sayaka showed up on the preliminary results, there wasn't a consensus about who HKT fans would vote for to ensure they got someone on the senbatsu (since NMB fans took the highest prelim last year, sacrificing Milky to get Sayanee in). Not everyone wanted a KKS to be the HKT rep and there was less consensus about whether the one to push would be Haruppi or Yuukosu. I'm sure there's more to it, but ended up being Sakura who got the votes and the spot.

I'd almost expect Haruppi to make it next year though, assuming HKT actually debut at some point.

Thanks for the explanation, it was just that I saw Haruppi being interviewed on Shukan AKB by GotoP and she stood out even more than Anna. I must admit of the HKT members I have never really noticed Sakura in fact she still doesn't stand out amongst the members. I may be wrong but Sakura does not seem to have the outgoing personality of the other members such as Yui Komori, Madoka Moriyasu,Natsumi Matsuoka and of course Anna and because of this she seems to get less TV time.

For those who caught Haruppi and Kanakichi on AruAru YY TV recently, they were challenged to attempt the Bite Leader manzai (which is around the 33:20 mark on the episode itself). At any rate, it looks like Haruppi kept working at it and finally got it.

I now know the logic behind Akimoto Yasushi picking her as center when the group first showed up. She's childish, but she's very attractive and has a lot of charm. She's also a very hard worker, always finds ways to improve, is always very responsible as a person, and constantly tries to communicate with fans as much as possible.

And oddly enough, she gets cuter as the days go by. Here's a Google+ link to a video of her challenging herself to do a set number of sit-ups (a previous entry from her mentioned that the number of sit-ups she'd do would depend on the number of comments that people send to her post... That post maxed out at 500 replies within 20 minutes, much to her shock.)

I wasn't so sure about Haruppi before but seeing the general election footage really changed my opinion, she was very cute when called and her reactions to her teammates being announced (they cut to her a lot during the Sasshi build up) were just wonderful! I really warm to a girl that can support teammates who rank better than her with a happy smile!
