Some thoughts: Anju wins big this time! MM has no songs in the top 5. Interestingly enough, Aishite Nan ga Warui is the best ranking song from the MM album, despite not being promoted much like Kono Mama or Renai Destiny. Masayume by Tsubaki was really well received.

May I ask about Hikari no Curtain's placement? I have voted for it, but I cannot see it in the results' list.

Yasss so happy for Angerme! To be fair, Aisare Route is on a different level compared to the usual HP songs. I'm so glad that it's well-received.

May I ask about Hikari no Curtain's placement? I have voted for it, but I cannot see it in the results' list.

 

I have somehow missed that one when compiling the results, my apologies. Hikari no Curtain received 25 votes and placed 27th. I have corrected the results, thank you so much for pointing it out!

Thank you for hosting! Aisare Route really was one of a kind.

"Aisare Route A or B?" really has topped every fan poll (both Japanese and intl) I've seen so far. I don't remember the last time that happened! Has that ever happened?

I am not sure if it has happened before. I guess what it had going for it is that it's very unique, and that the single itself was released at the right timing. Most of the other H!P singles last year were released either too early so they were kind of forgotten, or too late to get enough traction. That said, Aisare is such a splendid song, definitely the most unique track put out by H!P in recent years, so that was surely the main reason it trumped over the other songs.
