So Nintendo has finally announced their long awaited "NX"!

I wasn't too keen on the concept at first but the finished product does look nice

What is everyones thoughts on it?

It's what the wii u should have been. I like how mature it looks, sleek and cool. It reminds me including the advert with everyone playing offline— to be the entertainment system of this generation. The nes and snes were a great part of nintendo's history, and I feel like nintendo always do well in making games for offline play and for playing with friends.

Also bethesda and nintendo ooohhhhhh!!!!!!

This is gonna be a game changer for hand held and home consoles, im so excited and its coming so soon!! 

As a handheld person I'm really looking forward to this.

I'mma have to break my back to afford this but I'm a nintenwhore so I need it. 

 

I'm expecting a new Mario game, new Mario Kart, new Smash Bros & hopefully Kingdom Hearts 3. 

I thought the Wii U looked complicated, this takes complicated to a whole new level.

I think I'm gonna hold off until Splatoon 2 comes out. But all of what I saw looks great I'm so excited!!

The price is basically making me cry at night

I mean, the Wii U was the same price for the 8gb basic model, and $349.99 for the 32gb model. It's not too much of a difference, so I don't really see the complaints about the console price.

 

My complaints are about the prices games and accessories prices. $60 for games and the accessories are pricey. Even still, I pre-ordered the console, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and a case. Is my wallet sad? Yes.  But since I lack a home console, it's worth it.

 

On other news, I can't speak for the European countries, but the pre-order stock seems pretty limited. Most stores have sold out of pre-orders for both styles of the Switch, the pro-controller, and the charging grip for the Joy-Cons. I know the GameStop I pre-ordered from got 22 units for pre-order, and sold out by the end of the night. I barely got mine in.

 

But I'm happy. I'm looking forward to Arms, Skyrim and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I might get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (because battle mode is back) and Splatoon though.

Was gonna wait for splatoon 2 but my coworker had to one up me and preorder it so I've preordered it because I'm known as the nintendo person at my job and I can't let a PC masterrace win

We were supposed to get Animal Crossing mobile holiday last year too and nothing. 

 

I'm excited for some of the announced games, but I'm really hoping we get some surprises at E3 though I'm sure a chunk of it will be spent on Mario Odyssey

Too long for dick , too short for richard.  Not really portable. Feels like they're still trying to make a Wii-U. Might as well get a Tablet PC at that price. Apple-tier prices for misc crap also makes me facepalm.

just buy whatever you want to play. that's it. do it at your own pace.... unless of course you wait like 10 years to play, in which case someone should have hacked it to work with emulation.
