The group name Red Velvet stands for the Group's bold and captivating image like the color Red and soft and feminine like Velvet.

I thought SM would debut with a classy concept like Seulgi and Irene performed, but oh well. I can't wait for the mv

When you look at the picture, Joy is like IDGAF I totally can't wait for the full MV but there name bothers me SOOOO much like, is anyone not attempting to add "Cake" at the end?!  (or Pop-Tarts)

  

 

But anywho I can't wait to see Irene and Wendy! Kya~~ I remember everybody thought Lamy (i think thats her name) was gonna joined but it was actually JOY! I'm so excited!

It's sad that their debut has coincided with f(x) halting the Red Light promotions but I don't understand how people can correlate the two events to validate blaming and bashing a new group. Like other K-pop artists they have trained and worked a long time to finally reach their debut and if I were in their shoes I'd be over the moon. These girls haven't done anything at all, so they don't deserve the hate. If blame has to be taken then it should be towards SM for their bad timing, I just don't think they realize how harsh and hard to please K-pop fans can be.

 

This group looks really fun with their concept so I can't wait to see their new PV! Good luck girls, I hope they prove the haters wrong and they gain a good fanbase!

Their MV is extremely cute! I started crying when Wendy started singing the bridge!  I really hope the girls do well in the industry!

 

Here is a picture of the girls walking to KBS Music Bank for a prerecording earlier today! The way they were holding hands and smiling was the cutest thing ever! They must be so proud and happy to debut, because I know I am!

SM digging a grave for their own artists since the 90's 

Whoever edited this video has vendetta against SM and I still can't believe SM hasn't responded to it by "taking down the music video and editing it" like they did with Sunny's hat in the IGAB teaser. 

Wendy has a great voice, but she is not ready for those high notes. She is straining to reach them like it's going to hurt her. I haven't seen the live yet but she's going to fall so flat. 

 

But they are all so cute and bubbly and adorable, I really like Irene she's so pretty.

Fan reports are saying the girls sang 70% of the song live and Wendy was so loud in one of the takes she was louder than the track!

They also said the girls held hands when walking on stage and were trying to hide behind each others backs because they were so shy 

It was also said Irene is the leader of Red Velvet and that from the many takes they took it seems Irene and Joy are very close.

Oh my God, this is sick. The producer of this video should be sued.

 

The girls have nothing to do with this of course and shouldn't be punished for this disrespectful act. Even one brain cell should be enough to realise this (I'm looking at you, Tumblr and Youtube).

 

That being said I love the song, even I was a bit worried when I first heard the preview That performance was great!

I can't stand K-pop. I'm glad to say Red Velvet is the only K-pop that I'll actively listen to and follow.

 

I'm glad I didn't pay attention to the MV, and just the song though. The moving lips freaked me out, so I had the song running while I practiced something on the computer. Man, but what they did was sick and rude. I hope they are going to change the video.

Show! Music Core performance.

 

 

I was very impressed with Seulgi's singing and Wendy oh my God.

Wasn't Music Core the show that recently banned lip syncing? Or am I confusing them with someone else? 

Our girls are so talented! I've supported Wendy since she was announced as a SMRookie, so I was really excited for her debut! I'm really happy SM gave her that huge part to sing!

Joy has a really cute voice too I can't wait to see their other performances!

Yup, that's the one. There's also videos on YT where they've taken away everything but the mic and even here you can hear that Wendy and Seulgi are great singers. I would say that Irene is the least gifted singer but she's got an amazing stage presence and her dancing is really good, I think she's my favourite already

So, Wendy definitely proved me wrong I still think she's straining her voice though those high notes were great. 

 

^I have to agree with you on Irene, since the music video I've noticed how confident she looks. Oh by the way

The only thing bothering me about the song is that the beginning part with Seulgi is in a totally different key than the "La"'s It throws me off so much. And poor girls had to sing all those La's
