Koharu and Reina on FBS NatiCoral Gakuen TV in Fukuoka August 28, 2009 (Day 2 of 2)
August 28, 2009 Broadacast: First Half (click for clip--thanks to YouTuber "gorita1o0i"!)Koharu Kusumi and Reina Tanaka with Yu Saito, Shiho Namba, Minatsu Konishi
Reina and Koharu appear on the August 28, 2009 broadcast of NatiCoral from Fukuoka, which followed the broadcast from the week before. [Translation of the August 21 episode Koharu, Reina, & the Butt Guy: NatiCoral Academy Aug 21 2009 - Day 1 of 2: ] This August 28 episode was taped on the same day as the previous one as, I doubt that they traveled all the way to Fukuoka twice for this campy, fun, but low-budget program.
Saito welcomes the Musumes “back” for a second week of NatiCoral.
KK: We arrived this morning. [Audience applauds. Again, this is probably an inside joke.]
Saito: Thank you! Sorry to make you get up so early.
Reina: We took the same route as before. [laughter]
Saito: Now do you understand the meaning of NatiCo?
KK: Somehow it’s. . .. like subtle.
Saito asks them for a ‘NatiCo” story about their hometowns. Reina says the last time she was home, a candy store that was popular among schoolkids and run by a very elderly gentleman had gone bankrupt. Then it’s KK’s turn.
KK: I’m a hick from Niigata.
Saito: A villager?
KK: Yes. [smiling brightly] A villager! Yes, I’m a villager. You call for a cab by just giving them your last name.
Saito: Huh?
Reina: Awesome.
KK: Like, “This is Kusumi from over here,” and they’ll come pick you up.
Saito: Oh, within your hometown they know where you live.
KK: Right.
Saito: How? Do only the village elders have a telephone?

KK: No. [laughs] I wonder how.
"Heavenly Gods Roll-out"
Saito: Is there any guest from last week who made an impression?
Reina: The very last guy, the one I whacked on the butt.
Saito: Ah! Takao Meijin. Because his ass got whacked by Morning Musume, his hometown threw a parade for him. [Momusu laughs]

Kurume’s Karate Fool
The first “talent” today is a guy who does karate moves while taking imaginary miso ramen orders. The MM girls are impressed by the VTR clip. The guy hops onstage wearing a karate outfit with “NatiCo Academy” written on it.
Saito: How is it—meeting Morning Musume?
Karate Guy: Ummm. . . .They’re cute enough.
Saito: Enough? [whacks him on head]
The guy does his mime routine: greeting guests, taking a ramen order, serving it, all while doing rapid karate moves. At one point he does a roundhouse kick that gets too close for the comfort of Reina, who lets out a little scream. The MM girls enjoy the performance, especially KK. The Karate Guy says he was a bit off today, but KK says it’s the best she’s seen thus far and that she couldn’t duplicate that act.

The Gorilla Girl
When Saito mentions the next guest, Oda Natsuko, who can morph into different animals, Minatsu and Shiho groan that this one is “disgusting.” In her VTR clip Natsuko imitates a gorilla, a chimpanzee, and a Japanese monkey.
Saito brings onto the stage Natsuko herself, who proceeds to do her gorilla imitation. Minatsu asks why all the acts have been gross today, and Saito responds that it’s in honor of MM. When Natsuko asks the Musumes to try the gorilla, Reina quickly backs off and says Koharu would be great at it, over KK’s protests. Nevertheless, both girls get a quick gorilla lesson and deliver, with KK really getting into it.

Saito: You should put this down on your profile.
KK: Really?
Saito: Yes—face imitations.
KK: I’d like to come back next week and learn some more.
Saito: Definitely come over. You can come here every week.
Reina: Go by yourself, ok?

The Wota Puppeteer
The last guest, Fukura Hagitachi, is a 24-y.o. guy who does a puppet show featuring a cat and a dog character, except the “puppets” are his calves with faces drawn on them with a felt marker. KK says she’s seen this act on the DVD and turns around to give a little demonstration as the camera focuses on her long supermodel legs. The VTR clip shows the “dog” and “cat” doing a little skit, which is received with giggles from Shiho but deafening silence from the crowd and the Musumes. Reina says the pauses in the skit were too long and KK didn’t understand the joke at all. The guy is a self-proclaimed idol wota and is excited to take the stage with MM, though he’s leaning against a podium on tiptoes with his back toward the crowd. The girls are kneeling so they can see his “dog and “cat,” which is wearing sunglasses.
Saito: Would you like them [MM] to touch you [his calves]?
Hagitachi: [in character voice] Yes, I want them to touch!
Saito: That’s not an act right now, is it.
Hagitachi: Yes, yes please!
Reina: [gently poking his right calf, which is, appropriately enough, the “cat”:] Whoa! What is this? This isn’t human.
Hagitachi: [excited by Reina’s touch] Ohh! Oooh! Ohhh!

Saito: That’s a real-life reaction.
In honor of Morning Musume’s appearance, Hagitachi has his dog and cat “perform” “Shouganai Yume Oibito” but stops when he develops a cramp. The Musumes egg him on to continue, clapping along until he has an even more severe cramp and has to be helped offstage. Reina later notes how this guy was dancing with his arms as much as his legs.
Wrap-Up
As the show wraps up Shiho says she’s glad the Musumes appeared. Reina said she’d like to be a regular on the program except when imitations are being done. When asked who she thought was the most “NatiCo” performer, KK makes a chopping motion.
Saito: Ah, so surprisingly the karate guy is your "favorite"?
KK: No, he’s not my “favorite.” [laughs]
When Saito points out the Karate guy is still standing in the audience, she apologizes. Reina says that she liked the stick guy, Takao, so Saito—perhaps thinking he could still hook the two of them up—looked to see if he was still around but, unfortunately Takao was not.

The show concludes with Saito asking the Musumes to spread the word of NatiCoral back in Tokyo. Reina replies that they’ll let the other MM members know of NatiCoral, and KK says that she now understands what “NatiCoral” means. They end with another quick promo for “Nanchatte Renai.”
Komments
Koharu is such a physical comedienne that for her to just do modeling--though she would be great at it--would be a waste of sorts. Her latest interview (with Oricon) did not mention modeling but rather comedy as an interest, so we hope she can get that chance.
