| The only time she ever looked too thin was a brief period in 2006. Why? She was overworked as leader of Morning Musume. She isn't chronically ill and she isn't anorexic. And Hamilton, just Google marathon runners and look at how thin they are. |

She has been really thin since 2006. If it's healthy we don't know, because none of us know her personally. But she can be this thin and still be healthy.
I'm sure some of you have been worried about her weight since she dropped down to her current size, and I know I've been. But a lot of Japanese girls are really petite. Yossi is really active and has been ever since she graduated.
Yes, she looks underweight, but for all we know she just likes to be this size and who are we to command her to go eat a sandwich just because WE like to see her a little chubbier. It's HER body so it's HER choice. |

Oikaze, I'm not disagreeing with the fact that a great many runners are very thin, I _am_ disagreeing with her being so as a result of training for this marathon. Like I said, she's been stick-thin for several years now, and she most certainly was not anywhere near this thin when she first joined. She went from "normal" weight to what many people considered "chubby", then dropped to her current size as she was leaving MM.
...and I wasn't aware that commenting about her (undeniably) skinny frame was tantamount to "commanding" her to gain weight...
For the sake of clarity, in case anyone else wants to have a pop :
I don't care whether she's as big as a bus, or as thin as a needle, other than basic concern for her health, and I do agree that it's entirely up to her. If it becomes unacceptable to pass comment on an idols' well-being, why the hell do we have a comments section at all? |

I...have to object to your use of the term 'chubbier'. Yossy would need to eat several dozen sandwiches to even get on the same continent as 'chubby'.
I don't quite see the great need to defend her-She's noticably thinner recently than she's ever been, and it's happened right around the times of huge stress (Leading MM, The passing of her little brother). Granted, she's kept the weight off for awhile, so who knows if that's still a problem, but only a sociopath wouldn't at least wonder if she was okay. |
