People can only retain a cute "image" for so long. She had to grow up sometime. Though i understand where those who don't like/approve of this pic are coming from. I suppose this is meant to mean something as if to represent her past to say i shall hide no scars.

There is also the question of is this the way ~she~ wanted to go, or what this the way her management wanted her to go? I don't know if she's still an Idol (?) if she is, though, a lot of her public persona is choreographed by a management/marketing team.

^i think it was a joint decision. the photos aren't tasteless at all. i've seen so much worse, and these are tame compared to those. like a few have said she's trying to break the cute and go for sexy. i'd bet it's something she's been screaming to do. i say good for her.

This makes He-Hulk feel sad...
And it has nothing to do with wanting her to be anything, cute, not cute, whatever. It's because this feels exploitative. It makes me feel like she has people giving her bad advice. Gravure idols are gravure idols because they have no other options; they aren't good at anything besides showing some skin, (which is probably the least impressive talent ever). Kago has other options...well, at least she used to before she screwed up over and over.

Im ok with her trying to change her image from cutey-like idol to an entertainer person..
But somehow...This kinda lead to a more pornography direction..rather than..ARTsy picture....
Im ok with skinny people..
but to actually see BONES on it....
...I don't find it very appealing....this pic is a no no either...
..im not sure abt the boys here..
they might like it..

I really like this photo. Kago has always been my favorite. She's growing up--she (and I) are almost 21. She isn't 12 anymore.
How is this anymore gravure than the new picture of Rika in that crochet pink bikini top? Or for that matter, any of the photobook bikini shots?
If this was Maki, no one would be complaining.

as for kago ...not...
her image was clean....
to see she's in this kind of picture is beneath her somehow in someway..
but like he-hulk said..
she's growing up...
SO hopefully,she'll grow out of it..that people can be sexy and beautiful even without showing a hell lot of skins ^^

This is Kago being allowed to embrace the things that were absolute no-nos in H!P. Yeah, maybe she's going a bit overboard. But, she's not showing it all. When she is naked in these pictures, it's tastefully done. Yeah, okay, this shot and the one with the purple shirt are a little much, but if she were smiling instead? It'd be straight out of an H!P photobook.

A majority of you are going against Kago, and a lot of the people in that majority really want the old Kago back. Listen to yourselves, nearly 2 years ago when Kago came back, everyone was totally excited, esp with her new figure and her new look.
I seriously had no hopes what so ever of her to go back the the cute image. With Tsuji herself also matured as well, wanting her baby girl to at least finish junior high before she gives a thought about show biz (if she ever does). Both Kago and Tsuji are both legal adults now, and Tsuji is a married woman. With all the things that has gone through with both girls about how cruel showbiz is, I doubt their first thought about meeting again was to reunite W.
Tsuji has a baby girl to take care of, which is already a year old. I dunno about you guys but I think hearing your child's first words and seeing their first steps are more important than trivial fandom about the past.
As for Kago, everything that happened in the past is what's bringing her to this image now. Slitting her wrists and thoughts of depression from the past in not exactly something you want to rejoice with.
All the fans that want her back with her cute image without thoughts about her feelings are really just selfish. From the time of her hiatus to the time she appeard in Friday, chances are she didn't practice W choreography or sing super cutesy songs from h!p. She even said herself that she needed training again cuz she never sang for such a long time.
As for that one person who actually mentioned Kago's ribs, here's a little something to show you that just because you see ribs, doesn't mean they are unhealthy.

That is Ishikawa Rika, the very same woman who plays in Gatas Brilhantes HP. The very same woman who is constantly complimented about her beauty and her form. Mind you, it's from her last photobook almost a year ago. Still, no matter how you look at it, it's still ribs, right?
I know you guys really want her back to her old self, but it's just going to be awfully awkward. We are not living in the past anymore. Sure bringing back the golden days would be great and give us temporary enrichment, but in the end, it's just going to ruin everything.

Kago is twenty. Think about it: it's really a lot less weird for someone her age to be doing photos like this than for a 17 year old to be bouncing around in blue taffeta and puffed sleeves, singing in an ultra-squeaky voice about how robots have feelings too. Regardless, I love her and I'll support her wherever she sees fit to take her career. But as for now, these photos are relatively tame and, for me, ultimately quite delicate and beautiful. It's sexy, even sexed up, but the lighting, the colors--she looks like an angel. And the ribs aren't a big deal; anyone even a little thin who moves their body that way will get ribs showing.
Obviously "adultism" doesn't need to = gravure, but as long as she's comfortable with it I don't see the problem. I don't like the idea that she's being perceived (by the fans on this side of the ocean, at least) as cheap, because she's amazing. She's pushed through so much, and she's not about to stop pushing.

What I don't get is that people only believe that this is all she does now, taking pics. This is just one of the "options" she's doing, like some girls also do photobooks and/or DVDs in H!P. She's been doing some movies, working in music, who knows what else. I guess some like to see just one side of the coin.

Well, she's doing small concerts, from a while ago. To be honest, this is all we can really assume until she actually releases a album and calls herself a artist, which I'm guessing she will do.
I'm only explaining that she is not 12 anymore, I jus did it more elaborately, along with Tsuji. We also know that she is releaseing DVDs as well, Kago Channel , she's got 2 volumes so far.
Anyway, this is also prolly for gaining more male fans, as her fanbase has a lot of woman, not jus to relieve her of her kid image.

I don't know where your getting at, it's confusing if your complimenting them or pointing out a massive 'flaw' (compliment being how fat we are compared to them..idk).
I don't mind seeing Rika's ribs as I know that she is fit enough to play in Gatas decently. Also you have to take in Yossy, who is by far much skinnier than both Rika and Kago. She is the captain of the team, but that doesn't automatically mean that she is fit herself. But what she does to help keep her body in shape does. As far as I know, Yossy has the highest attendence in Gatas and also she runs 8km daily, that there is amazing for her stature.
Kago on the other hand, has lost weight due to depression, which in itself is actually a terrible thing. She herself has also said that she hasn't been getting much sleep, and it really doesn't help what so ever for her body. But she does eat though, like every one of us, and to our knowledge, she is fine. We don't know what she does in her personal life and we certainly don't know the exact amout of food she takes in within a day. All we can do is trust her, just like how loyal Reina fans trust her that she is not dangerously unhealthy.
Ribs aren't a major factor, for me at least, as long as we don't see it in the legs, arms or face. Anyway, there was only one person who brought this up, me as well, there's really no need to talk about it.

Wingates: have you read Aibon's blog? I don't think that her weightloss is "due to depression", because she herself actually wrote a lot about trying to eat in a healthier way and trying to lose weight. Actually she seemed happy about the weightloss, if I remember right.
If you ask me, there's nothing weird about ribs being apparent when you're lying on your back. (Actually, my ribs&collarbones have always been seen even when I was 10 lbs heavier). Besides, you can see that she isn't underweight by looking at her lower body.. I don't know what the fuss is all about. o.O I'd prefer just leaving the subject.
Anyway, I still don't like the photos. I agree with Eli-chan's comment: "She can prove herself as an adult without this kind of photos."

If this is really what she wants for her life, then I'd say "go for it"; I personally don't like things like this (at all) and have no interest in them, but if it's really something she wants to be doing... it's her life, right? I'm not a part of it, so I shouldn't complain about choices she makes.
If this is where she's heading, I won't be 'supporting' her works any more, but it's her life. (XD I say that way too much~)
I just hope that she's not making choices she'll regret later.

Well no offence to Aibon but why pose in these pics when it doesnt even look good? On her, I mean.
Nothing wrong with wearing less clothes but my god, at least put some flesh in your bones, its so unppealing see the ribs sticking out and everything!
