Of the couple photos I’ve seen from this shoot, these are the most democratic photos I’ve ever seen from this generation of MM. Everyone looks equally attractive instead of some members standing out and some members looking not so good. It’s almost like Ai was toned down in these photos so she wouldn’t stand out too much. Unlike with some of the previous shoots, the stylists and photographer knew how to flatter all of them with the right hairstyles/poses – like no bugging your eyes out. JunJun looks better when she angles her face to the camera and doesn’t smile so much – some people are just like that. If you notice in her teen photos from China she never smiles. If this retro theme is primarily responsible for JunJun having that hairstyle, then bravo to retro.

wow, democratic? i don't think i've ever heard a political party name as a description of a photo.
but yeah, i agree with everything you said. maybe they don't want to take any of the attention away from their outfits by posing in a more neutral way.

Actually I think the Magnificent Koharu sticks out the most with her bright red dress, the others in brown and beige arent that eye catching. It's still a great picture, and they all look nice.
I like Koharu's, Reina's, and Linlin's clothes the most.
