^i've wanted to know the same thing. i'm wondering if they're trying for other countries? i mean, they're pretty known throughout asia, but i wonder of they're going to try to appeal to the US market? i'm on board of they are. :)

huh I just thought that "international thing was always there :P but if ARE going to try for the U.S. it'll probably be pretty tough since the scandals of old will probably be brought up :(

Scandals? Like what? Girls in their 20s getting "caught" doing completely innocent things with boys their own age? GASP! FOR SHAME!!! THEIR US DEBUT IS RUINED BEFORE IT EVEN HAPPENS!

99% of the "scandals" to come out of Hello! Project wouldn't even be a blip on the radar in the US. Sure, in Japan, they're HUGE, even forcing girls to actually resign, but in the US, they would barely be worth an article in one of those tacky celebrity magazines. I mean, for goodness' sake, Miley Cyrus, proabably one of the most popular teen singers at the moment, isn't even 16 yet, and she's publicly dating a 20-year-old guy. Nobody even cares except for gossip magazines and celebrity news TV shows, and even then, none of them are saying it's a bad thing, they're just talking about it neutrally, or even putting it in a positive light.

And besides the totally non-scandalous nature of the scandals, no one associated with one is even in the group anymore, so I don't see how it could possibly matter either way.
