It boggles the mind that he'd be willing to spend the vast, vast sums of money required to acquire all this pretty useless paraphernalia. H!P stuff is pricey; I bet he could buy a used car with all the money he's spent on that stuff.

I wished this was my room. It's not sick, he's dedicated his room for his favorite member. Not all wota's are sick perverts, all this prejudging, you dont know what's in his head, you dont know how she's thinking about her you only see his room and think you know everything...

If he's happy - and I'm guessing he is given the photo - no use calling it sad. Especially because the sadness comes from westerners projecting themselves into the photo, meaning it would be sad if you owned that collection because western society would definitely judge you harshly and no way in hell would any of you guys openly publicize your Berryz interests let alone your mini HP collections. Americans are definitely socially/politically savvy enough to know when to hide unpopular interests/beliefs (which is why you can't always trust them). As you can see, the Japanese can be very transparent.
Some of the weirdest, most sexless guys I've ever seen are actually record collectors and what could be cooler than owning a huge record collection in our DJ culture. So it's not the subject matter or the obsessive collecting, it's whether or not you are happy and well adjusted. Wotas can be OK in Japan so no use in Americans feeling sad for that guy. We all know there are plenty of sad, miserable people who don't collect anything.

I actually saw an article written by an American college student who was an exchange student in Japan written about 'wotas'. I'll try and find it..
Wota's themselves know that their lifestyle is found odd and unacceptable to many people. But, their dedication (and for some, it is actually a desire for them to be women. O_O like, some, not all, wear girls shirts, and stuff, wishing to be girls..flattering, but odd?) causes them to ignore it, and they stick together and continue their never ending love for their idol. So it's not like America is the only one who shuns this behavior.
We have a lot of people like that here. Britney fans, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga..the only reason I find this odd is the age thing. lol Underage!!
But he can buy whatever he wants and funds H!P and keeping it alive. They need this guy.
Thumbs up. (^_^)b
