I guess Lawrence see this kanji as the katakana "e", they really look alike エ and 工

Uhh... that kanji shouldn't really be all that surprising should it? I mean... It's the same kanji as Berryz工房 so you've all seen it before. ^^;

@QC WOAH! nice catch.. it does look like a lantern, a green lantern, in an abstract way.
basically the 工 kanji carries the meaning of worker ( in a factory ), artisan, skilled craftsman. You get the picture ^_^
