Check her thread in the member section in AKB48 sub-forum. But yes, she is - announced her graduation.
Condensed story:
She has been in AKB48 for 5 years. She recently turned 15 years old. She's experienced many great things, but also had moments she doesn't understand, and also have problems with.
For a long time she's had a dream of pursuing studies, and having university studies as a goal. Obviously this is very difficult to do while being an idol (although not impossible - see Nakamata/Nacchi of AKB48 for example, attending Waseda).
So she has talked with staff about this many times, and finally she has made her decision - to pursue her dream of university studies.
Thus, her upcoming graduation.

2nd gen AKB girl (remember Undergirls' "Kimi no Koto ga Suki Dakara"? She was senpai to every other member in that epic lineup!), half-Japanese half-Italian, 200% cutie. Glad I bought her single when she released it :)
