"Sorry, but where is the nievau? ! They gonna do sex sells more and more... and its not good. Im dissappoinet of them."
Read up on who SDN48 is. They are continuously introduced as the older sister unit to AKB48 - and, in other words, their image is more mature and more sexy as opposed to AKB48 and SKE48 who are the idols of the family.
Nonti, the Captain of SDN48 says they aspire to be "idol artists" instead of "idols".
One member of SDN48 is married... Another is in her mid-thirties...
SDN48 stands for Saturday Night 48, and the lyrics of their songs, together with some of the performances, are geared more towards adults than kids and/or teens. Considering how they also are supposed to be competing against various k-pop units, and so on, it only seems reasonable that their image is a more mature one.
生命 戦勝至高,
I think the "start" just refers to the beginning of their career, what with their first single release now and all.
To anyone referring to this as "gross", or other things like that, please PM me and I can point you to some sites that adjust your gross-o-meter to suitable sensitivity for the internet.
I completely loathed their latest single, moaning verses but trying too hard at it, I didn't like it at all. Seemed to me they tried to appear overly sexual but the result wasn't favorable. Now, look at this picture. If they wanted to look mature and sexual, they have proven themselves that they can do More with Less. Maybe they deserve another chance. lol
@stany: I'm with you... Kasumi should have been at least second row along with Haruka!!!! No way in hell anyone was going to take point role away from Megumi though!! They all look fantastic and off-the-charts SEXY!!!!
Why do people not like this picture? It's SDN48. SDN48 is an adult group they're should be doing this lol I love their new single, it's a great debut single. The boob grabbing kinda reminds me of Janet Jackson and that magazine shoot XD Chen Qu <333
I like "GAGAGA", but yes, the c/w "Eros no Trigger" is much better - and, it features Tsunku... er.. Nishikunihara Reiko aka Rachel, who has quite the nice voice. :D
It wouldn't be good if MM did something as obvious as this, and they're not going to do it. Up-Front really isn't stupid, and they know it would be terrible if they even attempted to do something like this. One of their defining points over the 48ers is that they aren't this obvious. And, like has been stated before, this is an adult idol group. MM is not. ^ Most of the people here are calling this hot. I actually think there'd be a pretty different reaction to if MM did this then you are describing. Sorry.
Do that. "Eros no Trigger" and "Sado he Wataru" are pretty good. And "Kodoku na Runner" as well, which they have used in different concerts already (great live song).
^ Yup! That's the one. But you also need to get the other discs, I'm positive that they do more than one performance. I just don't remember if it's on disc 3 or disc 1, anyways that set is just amazing so you might want it all!
That's the correct concert yes, but that's just disc 2, "Kodoku na Runner" is not on that disc, although "Yuuwaku no Garter" is. (Entire 4-day concert comes in 4 discs + 1 making of).
SDN48 have performed Kodoku na Runner at aforementioned Set List Best 100 concert, but also at Yokohama Arena concert, and Yoyogi concert.
Also... First appearance at Budokan was impressive, they were so powerful on stage that I was left hoping for more. And that Black Boy song is very good. Also you need to check the making of disc for Yokohama, I believe (Krusha, am I wrong here?? I'm not sure!!), rehersals for Yuuwaku no Garter, Yuko was doing the chair jump and... better watch for yourself!! ;)
Thanks guys. I found the torrents. They are like five parts including a Making Of, right?
I have a question for you guys that I have been wanting to know regarding AKB concerts. There is a lot of Live On Demand concerts in the tracker. The quality of those concerts is not so good in terms of video and audio, I bet because those are not DVD releases and do not count with the proper filming of concerts for DVD releases, so their presentation is not so good.
My question is the following. There are official DVD releases of some AKB concerts, how do I spot them apart from the Live On Demand ones? I have seen performances of what I think are those DVD concerts but I don't know which DVDs they are and their names. I bet the Set List Best is one of them, but what about the rest? I would like to see those H!P quality DVD performances. :) The Live On Demand ones are just too dark and the sound is too muffled.
I'm a 48 fan and I enjoy SDN48 and I'm not a prude but I don't like this picture. ...I hate seeing ribs >_> It grosses me the hell out and HELLO MEETAN'S RIBS. If those weren't visible I'd be fine.
^
^ Just look up the names of DVD releases somewhere on the internet, like wiki, jpopstop or similar sites and search for them on the tracker. Or you can just filter the tracker for DVDs only, because LODs are in Perf category.
I love SDN48's Kodoku na Runner performance in the Request Hour Set List concert. It's so energetic. Check it out: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LZ9T1XM4
@ Morning Death: I though the same about LODs in the begining, but I do enjoy them very very much now, let me explain why: You can watch the official DVD release of the stages and you'll get great perfrmances, but what you won't get from the DVD releases are the mishaps or the funny bits that come out in live performances on the fly, for exmple, on one of Team A 5th stage during Heart Gata Virus performance Suuchan drops the microphone, and her face is priceless!!!! Also you get to see special performances, like for Kazumi's birthday during Team B 4th Stage, she got to sing Kuchi utsushi no Chocolate wearing a special dress and Aika and Natsumi wore 50's styled dresses, you also get to see kenkyuusei perform, like on Takajo Aki's promotion performance you get to see little Fujimoto take her place on Kuroi Tenchi and really rock it, also Aki's expression when her promotion is announced is really emotional... LODs got their special value!!! But you can identify the big concerts from the LOD by name, since 99% of all LODs are stages they will always have something like A5, K6, B3, S1, KII 2, in their names, while concerts will have different names like AKB104 Senbatsu Member Sokaku Matsuri, Request Hour Set List Best 100, Live at JCB Hall, etc.
Sorry to make it long and most likely boring but XXX48 rocks!!
@stany & carrls: Thanks guys that is really helpful. I checked their discography in Wikipedia but there is some complicated stuff there. I guess I'll look for every concert there and download it anyway. Problem is that sometimes the tracker search engine does not yield all the results there are in the database for the keywords I input. But I will do some torrent hunt there.
carrls I understand what you mean completely. The same could go for MM concerts, just by taking a look at all the things that happen in DVD Magazines that show footage of happenings in the concert tours it kind of makes us want to see those performances. Kind of makes you want that H!P could do something similar. I am not really complaining at the LODs, it is just that that is the only thing I have seen from AKB48 in concert as of now and I would like some great quality filming of the girls. :)
Last question, does the unit conformed of the members selected from all the teams for the single get to have their own concert performances or are they separated by teams always?
^ They only get together for the singles. They do perfrom those songs together at big concerts but otherwise they remain with their teams. At stages we get to see, let's say, Pony Tail to Shushu team A version. because the girls from other teams are not present. Older singles are performed by all the teams together or a mix of the girls that were not featured in it with some that were. Did I make sense??? I hope so XD
Stage performances in the theater follows the stage concept. In other words, if the schedule is Team A's current 6th stage, then that stage will only be performed by Team A. It's "theirs".
Kenkyuusei/research student girls may of course perform this stage, if they are coming in for a girl from Team A who couldn't perform that day/night. But usually other team members won't.
Now, if a team, say entire Team K, is to perform a Team A song, chances are it would happen in a concert. And note that by concert I refer to the big ones, not stage shows in the theater.
In the concerts, there are often many shuffle surprises, one of the great things about AKB48. Because once you get intimately familiar with a set list or such of a stage, you go from the tiny theater stage to the massive concert arena. It is a nice contrast, and the songs gets even more powerful here.
In a concert you can find regular AKB48 senbatsu (member lineup) doing say some of their singles, there can be the Undergirls doing songs, there are the Teams, such as Team A, Team K, Team B - doing their songs - or if in a shuffle context, doing some other team's song.
There's also the unit songs which all stages have, and here again in the concerts original unit lineups may be present, but also there's shuffled units. It's very fun to see other girls perform a song that they have never done before.
From recent Yoyogi concert, the opening of Day 3 went by like this:
Matsui Sakiko ,of Team K, wearing a beautiful winered dress, nice earrings, and playing Chopin on the piano - and then ending her Chopin performance by going into the melody of AKB48's Ponytail to Chouchou, whereby AKB48 lineup comes out to that song blasting the arena, thus kickstarting the concert.
Not something you'd see in a stage show, or anywhere else really, but the concerts do have surprises in them.
Since most only know about AKB48 and their singles discography, they are missing out on a massive catalogue of material which defines AKB48 probably more so than their singles, and these songs makes concerts great fun.
PS: During last years tour, the teams actually had separate concerts in various Japanese cities, for the first time ever. And then the concert set list was their stage material + select AKB48 single songs. The same thing occured this year as well.
Hope this made some sense... if not, I'll try to clarify better...
Krusha thanks for that thurough explanation. I had present that the stage performances sometimes did not count with the participation of some members but you clarified me about the Teams collaborations in concerts. :) Those are the concerts I have yet to see. Thanks man, that helped a lot.
