haha i noticed that too!
list of ai-chan quirks, from her blog:
1. aichan uses an iphone 2. aichan wears american apparel 3. she also wears doc martens 4. clearly, she has a preference for the vintage photo look
conclusion: is aichan a...hipster!?!?!?

"The Scream" by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch. This may be one of his less known versions of that painting. : )
Its fun to see that she knows a little about European art... or just a random pose.. :P

In Hello! Morning Theather, for some months Ai-chan was the "painting" in a Coffee, and this pose was one of those poses

^I agree... she only has an interest in Gaki(;
I agree, the coloring is beautiful. But it's quite simple to do.. then again, it surprises me that Aichan can do it. ^^;

I'm pretty sure her younger sister took this photos of Ai-chan while she was visiting her family. And I hope she not a hipster. She may dress like one, but she's not stuck up enough (or at all). No offence to any hipsters...

^ Definitly. And scratch what I said before about her sister taking it. She's in Tokyo in the picture, not back home. Maybe her and Gaki were on a date?

Aichan is too quirky to be straight :P Oh well, we'll never know as long as she's in H!P or Upfront.
I love her fashion sense ♥

^see, that's what i'm thinking too. i know SOME quirky straight girls, but most of them are on the fence, or already on the other side. reminds though, seeing her blog pics, she seems to prefer darker colors (black, and grey). unless she's dressing for an event, i haven't seen her home clothes as frilly or otherwise at all.

Check out the hipstamatic iphone app if you like this filtered look. Ai-chan as a hipster...? there's an app for that. I'm sure she just likes the style. Would a "real" hipster ditch the iphone and carry around a polaroid or kodak brownie for all their snapshots?

hipsters are HUGE on iphones these days. and as far as i know most don't bother with film cameras anymore (unless its for show). it's all digital, and photoshop.
aside from that, it's just a joke anyway. there's no way aichan could be one ;) hipster fashion is really mainstream these days anyway so like you said, she probably just digs the look without knowing the stigma attached to it. still, it's hilarious.
