^ To balance out the average beautification equation, the pretty girls get crappy clothes and the ugly ones get nice clothes; it's an inverse relationship where the idol's beauty, "B", is set equal to a constant "M" divided by the tastiness of their clothing, "C". The equation is further tweaked by introducing an indivisible factor called Tsunku, represented by the character "♂," and enhanced by an integral of the current fashion trend function, F(t).
All in all, it's because they can.

I mean its not horrible...but idk. It doesnt really watch the idol style. Its much more LOOK AT MY COOL FASHIONABLE KOREAN CRAP. or sth idk.
Which is all fine and good. and yeah gaki likes korea...
but uh. it doesnt match the group.
