It makes for good publicity. Some people will believe that it's "cool" for females to like idols.

Maki probably has a lot of female fans, just because she represents a strong yet womanly image (like Ayumi Hamasaki, Namie Amuro, and Koda Kumi).

Not denying that, but still, articles = articles, and images = images.
It's like alan and her ~goddess~ image XD MOST of her fans treat her as if she was a real goddess.
