^ ^ + ^lol yes. Also, AKB's new single, they freaking rented a helicopter, a helicopter yo! Makes me laugh <3
@Tiger Yuri: H!P isn't all sugar and angels you know, Ai, Rika, Maki, check them out, and this is something new for Tsunko, he should experiment with things like this, it's great stuff. This isn't even the worst in gravure modeling too lol.
Anyhow, isn't s/mileage getting bikini shots sometime in June? To be honest, I'd like to check that out. It's not like too many people were going crazy over Maimai's PB, I don't see why s/mileage should be any different.
If the 2 girls in this picture were replaced by 2 women who are at least half a decade older, I would probably love it. But the picture as is makes me feel weird--bad weird.
^i try not to think about it too much, but it's just too weird. i mean, these are underage girls in what looks like underwear, posing seductively. i guess me being female, i don't see the allure of it, so....yeah.
^ Then all of the elder club would have to go too, huh? YuiKaori are part of UFA, which means they're close enough to be included. They're also connected to Noto Arisa, who was a part of H!P.
@Tiger Yuri: You are trying to force people into judge Japanese culture through western perspective, which is not possible. Japanese culture sees things differently, we might love it (*hint *hint) or we might not like it nor understand it, but we should not judge it.
That being said, I love these two and want mooooaaaar!!! XD
@Tiger Yuri: You can keep on trying, really you could, but you're just going to end up losing in the end. It's like when Koha's PBs came out, lol those were the days, I was worse than you (though, you can't even compare Koha to this, it's not even fair). It's the power of Japan, it'll probably get to ya, and even if it doesn't, you'll just learn to accept it.
As long as the girls weren't forced to do this with guns held to their heads, while some guy behind the camera threatened their hostage families, and they don't have a problem with it, then I don't have a problem with it. Besides Yui is so cute <3
One member :P only one. They still even out to the same difference. Idk, YuiKaori are cute but they're being marketed to the heavy lolicon otaku crowd D:
@Pudd-san: The argument is that girls of that age and a little older have not matured enough to know what they want and to choose what responds to their best interest. Something in the lines of: "If I would have known back then what I know now, I wouldn't have done it."
^^ I was being slightly flippant, but I was aware of what the argument was. Most girls in Japan, even at that age, are bound to know what being an idol entails. It's not like they're being forced to do porn or something (god forbid).
Every girl should strive to be as talented, charming, and in as good of shape as Yui and Kaori. They should be looked up to and idolized. They work hard to be good role-models and idols for young ladies all around the World.
thank gods i live alone, because if my mother ever saw me looking at the pic, let alone any photo with a girl in a bikini, "sugoi" would be the very, very last thing she'd say.
To many Japanese girls this is their dream, what they want to be. Take Kojima Haruna from AKB48 as an example, she said that she wanted to become a gravure model but her parents didn't let her, gravure is way worse than this (it might start like this but it gets worse donw the line). But let's make some numbers, she's 20 right now, in 2005 when she joined AKB48 she was 15 and by that time her parents had already refused to let her become a gravure model, how old would she have been when she wanted to do that?? 14?? 13?? so, they do know what they want, she even discussed it with her parents!!! it's a whole different culture! We should not waste our time judging something we don't understand because we don't live it! These girls have parents too and if they are behind them supporting them, who are we to judge?!?!
Culture excuses nothing. I fully understand how Japanese culture handles this kind of thing - and like the culture of every country on earth, Japan's culture has flaws. One of the flaws is the somewhat accepted sexualization of young teen girls. Hell, a school principle was caught with child porn on his computer and did no jail time, and still has his job. This is a country where hard core, live action child pornography was only banned in 1999. This is one of the flaws in their culture that has bad, bad side effects. The US has plenty of flaws that need to be fixed as well, before anyone jumps on me saying I'm hating on Japan. I love Japan, but it has some unsavory cultural quirks.
^ Whether we like it or not, these photos will continue to exist as long as there is interest and public interest. I don't know that if I had a daughter I would want her to be exposed like this, but if a girl in a bikini is offensive to you, maybe you should calm down and just not rage pointlessly on our picboard. I'm not saying that you should just accept it but if you seriously are offended find the company responsible, write a letter explaining your outrage and wait for them to reply saying "we value your opinion but we will continue making these photos". Pretty much: -Whining here will get you no where. -Internet is filled with real porn. If one photo of a two girls in a bikini is that upsetting to you maybe stop commenting and fueling others to reply. - Everyone has different tastes (not that I condone anything sexual to do with minors at all) - Go to the beach and you can see these girls dressed like this in real life and in groups.
ENOUGH SERIOUSNESS THOUGH! I say these girls need more photos. :D
How am I in any way raging? I've remained calm this whole time. A girl in a bikini is hardly offensive to me. It's the CONTEXT of the photos. How many times am I expected to explain that? They're the image characters for two characters in a ero/sexy/ecchi/pervy/whatever you want to call it anime and THAT isn't appropriate. At all. And thus takes the picture from two-girls-in-bikinis to two-girls-in-bikinis-who-are-being-marketed-in-a-sexual-context. Am I not allowed to have an opinion without it being considered raging or whining? I don't get how expressing an opinion becomes whining just because it isn't an opinion you share. If people didn't express their contrasting opinions, the discussion would be terribly boring.
It could be the case that there really is no cultural flaw. It's probably more likely that some people's opinions differ from others. These girls dig being in the spotlight. If someone has a negative opinion about these girl's aspirations, that is not a cultural flaw.
More on-topic, the skin color on these girls faces is sugoi excellent. It's quite telling about the picture's setup. It probably couldn't get any more perfect.
I thought I would never bother to comment again, but I just can't resist! XD
Okay, I just want to respond to 2 comments by His Sugoi Excellency, Tony Kusumi! XD
"Every girl should strive to be as talented, charming, and in as good of shape as Yui and Kaori. They should be looked up to and idolized. They work hard to be good role-models and idols for young ladies all around the World."
If only all young ladies around the world were like YuiKaori, the world would be a much better place to live in! XD
"Did your mom happen to use the word "Sugoi" at all when she was giving her "What on Earth..." spiel?"
Dear Tony, I really LOLed at this comment! XD
I'm trying to imagine her saying "What on Earth is this Sugoi picture that you are looking at?", instead of "WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU LOOKING AT?!" XDDD
We should have a Male Picboard and a Female picboard! For sure if we have some male here saying this pic is disgusting he should visit the female picboard :)
Sadly, the female picboard will have only Aiko & Frances pics =(
These girls aren't in bikinis. They are in lingerie posing suggestively on a bed. AND they are 14?-year-old girls promoting an ecchi anime. Even though I am attracted to women this is not my cup of tea. That doesn't mean it shouldn't be on the piccboard.
I do feel like it's exploitative of these young girls to have them do this, but as long as neither they nor their parents have an issue with it then I guess it's acceptable.
I would say that fit and pretty girls in bikinis are awesome! :P
Because to be honest, I'm not awed by bikini-clad girls who are not fit and not pretty! XD
(which is why I agree with Cardi's "If girls aren't all fit and pretty, what's there for me to look at")
@raquel9e: "These girls aren't in bikinis. They are in lingerie posing suggestively on a bed."
I thought bra + panties = a kind of bikini? XD
In any case, ultimately, I think most men just want to admire the physical beauty of a fit female body when they look at such pictures, regardless of whatever so-called "context"! XD
@Helder Ribeiro: Because we girls only like to look at toddlers! OMG I totally forgot! What about the girls on this forum who like girls? Will we have to change our gender to be allowed in the male picture board? Bring a keg of beer and talk about football? I dunno.
The way I see it, there girls know pretty damn well they're posing suggestively in their underwear. They don't look like they were forced into anything and they're probably enjoying their job. If they didn't want to be sexualized they should have put some clothes on. But I doubt that will help anything because they will probably be sexualized anyway.
So just sit back and enjoy the view or go be shocked in your blog.
Why are people writing comments like both these girls are 14? Ishihara's 17. She caught my eye of these two since she has a woman's figure, not like that forgettable little kid she's paired up with.
(seriously tho i listened to our steady boy and was amazed by ogura's voice - amazed that a human voice could sound so obnoxious. ishihara sounds alright but nothing to write home about)
^ I can't believe I actually liked it XDDDDD lol the song is catchy as hell and the girls are just too cute D': though that girl... Kaori? lol her voice is... eh xD
I liked the PV too D: and the song is soooooo loli-hentai opening theme XDDDDDDD
@GEyelashes: My mother thinks I'm a lesbian due to my "obsession" with Japanese females. And my friends think so too. Eh, whatta ya gonna do? Better live up to their expectations and flaunt it!
And yeah, I really like Kaori's voice. Yui's... Well, let's just say she srsly sings out of her nose.
XD You guys have made my night. Really, I enjoyed reading this. The picture was interesting, but this half-arsed debate randomness is entertaining. I'd join in on the whole "H!O community is gonna decide what is right and wrong" discussion, but I don't think anyone wants to know what I think about it.
Apparently, he was a bit pissed when he wrote it. A bit. :D
Maybe he meant "aetheistetic". Someone who holds no particular belief as to whether something looks good or not. Hang on, wouldn't that be Apaesthetic?
They look pretty. Honest question here: what is the talk about AKB48? Do they do too much fan service for the H!P crowd's taste? I haven't been following enough to understand the comparison. I'm really curious because I'm a huge AKB fan.
I don't care if you like it or not. This is just wrong. I can totally see how you ... men like it, because some hot girls shows of their half naked body to you. FOR FREE. How awesome is THAT?! I respect it... But it's still wrong towards the girls. Not just these girls, but every girl with low self-esteem. They'll probably think that the only way getting famous and getting boys is by pose in your underwear in front of the whole world. (Yes, I know that a lot of guys go after looks, only the looks. But, girls shouldn't be thinking about that. It's about being healthy and loving yourself. Which you all know) I don't care if this is what the girls wanted, they still get a sick impression of what "beauty" is and how to make money.
Your noble ideals are commendable, but quite far from reality. For men, physical beauty is a significant factor in mate selection and this will not change even if you are convinced that it should be otherwise.
lol... 80 bazillion comments later, and all I can think is, what an amazingly provocative pic, of a pair of exceptionally attractive young girls... and thank f*** I'm of sound enough mind to realise It's never going to be anything more than that.
:)
She's got a butt that dreams are made of... why not leave it there?
@Geyelashese: Next time I'm gonna just leave real porn on the screen, see what happens.
And Cardi and everyone who's forgotten- THERE IS MUSIC INVOLVED HERE. I know, I know, it sounds crazy, who knew? I didn't even care about the actual peoples names involved until two years into enjoying the music. The one thing about this site that's annoying is that half the people could give a monkey's uncle about the actual music.
i know, i know, but its just a personal prefferance thing, i don't dig these girls, if it ain't momusu, it ain't awsome. singing, dancing, acting, personality, and physicality 5 out of 5 they've got it all, a sort of "gold standard" you might say.
