I'm wondering why she is still with the eggs. Not saying that her age is bad or anything, but I just don't see any future progression with her sorry. If she was as talented and likable as people say she is, she should leave the Eggs, as she will be far better off.
Personally I would hate for her to join any current groups right now, mostly because no way she would fit in at all. Not just age, but in status. Wonder what Tsunku has in mind for her?

@becharm - I think she far too old for MM or any of the groups, even in eggs. You know since the 8th generation, ive alway, always doubted tsunku's eyes in picking up a good japanese girl. He gave Yuki Kashiwagi away to Akb48 and chose aika lol.

i've seen her in action during a rather recent h!p concert and she's alright. no better than anyone else, but she's got good energy and seems to keep up with the younger eggs just fine. i also think she's got something that the others don't, and it's gotten people talking about her because they want to know more about her. she doesn't present herself as all cutesy and bubbly, but that's what i like best about her.

When she first joined the JP fans didn't get anything at all either. She seem to lack everything that an idol needs to become successful. Most people decided to stick to the theory that she is hired to work at the Up-Front office, since she's graduated from university and all, and that she was just doing on-the-job training with the Eggs to learn more about the idol industry.

Honestly I think if above all Tsunku had plans for this girl, it would've happened or about to happen. And in my opinion it will be around the boundaries of Solo or maybe even Enka? Eggs are just like a stage right now where they can learn from being back up dancers and learn from experience, like Junjun, Linlin, Mano Erina, S/mileage etc.
But I dunno, am I too hyped if she joined MM, not really, but I would suck it up and give her a chance if she did. I just can't imagine the near graduation of 5th and 6th. And have a 9th gen who's way older than 8th gen be their kouhai.

I think she (and Akari LOL) would do great in MM.
If you all have forgotten, or don't know, Reina, Sayumi, and kind of Eri were practically emotionless when they first joined. But now they're full of personality. She probably trying to figure out what kind of character to stick with that won't mess her age, being she's 26.
NOT TO MENTION, the first leader of MM, Yuko, was 26 when she was in MM. Besides, if she's has the stamina to keep up with the eggs, she has some talent.
But it would be nice to see a full smile. :3

As a matter of fact, yes. I've seen her live at two Shinjin Kouen's (first when she was announced as a new egg and then her "debut" when she sang Suki na Senpai) and the Joyuu Sengen FC event. She seem to have zero interest in even being at stage and everything she does looks to the most half-hearted and done with a red face, looking completely out of place and awkward. She hasn't showed any kind of talent or really anything that all to prove that she has any potential to become a successful idol.
If you disagree, please do point out what you have discovered in her that apparently no one else have been able to see in her so far.

She's super pretty and is a super talented dancer and role/image player. Those are a couple reasons why she's great. She'd bring a lot of much needed fire and energy back to Morning Musume. Plus, she's a little older and is a perfect fit for the direction MM is heading.
Tomomi joining Morning Musume would be an Epic Win.
You know, if Tomomi did join Morning Musume there's a real chance that she might get her own picture book and vacation DVD in a place with a nice beach. That would be totally awesome.

Well above all I've seen here thus far, she doesn't seem to have anything new in the table than any other idol can't give if given more of a chance to shine. It just seems more like hope/pity for this girl than anything else.
Most comments go back to her dancing, which in my opinion doesn't really stand out, if ever should be standing out with her age behind her belt.
Honestly, it all sounds like people are just stretching the little things this girl can possibly be good at.
Maybe Tsunku has a lot of debt from this girl's parents? :O!

^ It's not "ageism"; it's realism. Idols don't typically start at that age.
As I said, though, that isn't why I'd be against her being a Musume. If she is too nervous to smile on camera at 26 (unlike a young girl who might grow out of it), how could she be particularly entertaining? Yuko is 36 and highly entertaining, but this woman isn't Yuko.

While the statement "ANY egg, not just her, could be a momusu member" is demonstrably true, it has nothing to do with what's being discussed.
Nobody's saying that it's impossible for any Egg, regardless of whom, to get into Momusu. The posters who've claimed Hirano stands no chance have cited a number of reasons (with which you may or may not agree), but the fact that she's an Egg has never been cited as a reason.
If that's not what you meant, then I honestly have no clue what you're getting worked up over, except perhaps that La'aKea seems to have discovered her sense of humor.

Well, I like Tomomi going to Morning Musume best of all. Because she would be a better fit. She's older than Yuu and most, if not all, of the other Eggs. See? It's almost as if Tomomi is a "bad" fit to be an Egg. Whereas, the younger girls are a "good" fit in the Eggs.
Yeah, it really shouldn't be about age. But as Oikaze stated above, that's the reality. Tomomi is a little older and hella sexy. This is precisely the new image Morning Musume is going for. A perfect fit.

Before anyone makes a definite decision, it might be wise to wait until we see her in a bikini. And not one of those BIG ones that ManoEri likes to wear. We want to see Tomomi in a tiny bikini with angel hair straps and bottom side ties. And really pretty 3D nails with a light pink background and white Hawaiian style flowers delicately painted on them.

Goddammit I found the thread and it turns out I misremembered the pancake feat.
Krusha ate 15 pancakes, not 5. I only challenged you to 5 pancakes, but you'll get major internet credit (the best kind of credit) if you at least attempt 15.
