Runo tells us her thoughts about each of the songs on Tsubaki Factory’s most recent single, including what it was like to shoot the MVs. She also talks about what song she likes best, something that happened during the MV shoot, and what she wants to do next in the group. Your first single since joining the group. Please tell us your impressions and thoughts for each song.

Namida no Heroine Kouban Geki
I was inside a box for the music video shoot, and in the last scene, there was a small black and white ball bouncing around. I’ve never danced while laying down, so while it was hard, it was also a really fun scene.

When I saw the finished product, it was different than what I thought it would be like, and I had fun watching it while thinking, “so after all, this is how it turned out.”

Garakuta DIAMOND
Out of the three songs, this song is the one that the 4 new members had a lot of lines in. It starts with (Kasai) Yuumi-chan, and after that is me. I wanted to make sure that the feelings could properly connect to the next person.

Please pay attention to my serious expression in the scene with the treasure in the MV.

I don’t have much confidence in my singing, and I think that I’ll do my best to get better at it, along with my dancing.

Yakusoku, Renraku, Kinenbi
We shot this MV first. I remember that the hardest part for me was that my expressions on camera were different than what I thought they were.

Yofu-san, out of the three songs, is there one that is particularly your favourite?

I like the phrase “moshi sou nara kami-sama~” from “Yokusoku, Renraku, Kinenbi”, and while I can’t describe it well, the first time that I heard the demo, it was like a shot through the heart. Actually, even when we performed it at the Budokan concert, those lyrics hit me through the heart again (laughs).

Also, for my favourite part from the dances, I thought that the opening choreography of “Namida no Heroine Kouban Geki” is something that I would want to copy. Since it’s done with just the hands, the fans can do it with us, and that’s what I like about it!

It was your first MV shoot, so did anything happen that could have only happened there?
During the breaks, we were playing with the small black and white ball that appears in the MV for “Namida no Heroine Kouban Geki,” rolling it around. Tanimoto (Ami)-san was the first one to put it down the back of Yamagishi (Riko)-san’s clothes, and all of the members had fun doing that together (laughs).

Please tell us your thoughts for your “NEXT Story” in the future, now that you’ve joined Tsubaki Factory.
I think that Tsubaki Factory has an impression of being like a flower, and it has a strong impression of having pretty girls in it. When you watch concerts, what’s especially really charming is that each and every person can do a performance where they’re the main character, and I want to do my best so I can do performances like that someday.

My seniors are all very far ahead of me, but I hope that I can follow them and do my best as a member of Tsubaki Factory, so that I don’t betray the expectations of the fans. The four of us will encourage each other to improve and I want to aim even higher, so I hope you’ll be watching us.
