ADRNEL'S H!P Short Stories

31 May 2018 - 12:58 PM

Welcome to the first of what is hopefully, many, short Hello!Project related fanfics. If you have any character requests, please comment below and I may consider it. Until then, enjoy this first story.

Spoiling The Party

Kudo Haruka needed some fresh air. The wrap party inside the hotel ballroom became much too stuffy for her, plus it did not seem like her co-stars and production team noticed her at that moment, so she decided to take the opportunity to step outside for a moment, take in the cool night air and the ambient sounds of the city.

She breathed a sigh of relief once outside, finally, after a full year of production, she was now free to move on from being the yellow ranger and try something else. She already had another role lined-up and it would start production the following month.

"Duu?" said a voice, an extremely familiar voice, she had not heard her nickname be said in such a familiar childish tone before. She looked over next to her to see an old flame stand before her.

"Maa." Kudo said plainly. They have not spoken much since she left Morning Musume nearly two years prior. She saw how Masaki just nervously fidgeted around, she was nearly 20-years-old and yet still acted like the 12-year-old she first met her as. Kudo just chuckled and rolled her eyes, disbelieving that Masaki actually decided to show up.

"Congratulations." Masaki began nervously. She wore a white dress that flowed in the cool night breeze. "On being Yellow Ranger..." she began.

"Thanks." Kudo smiled at her. She knew that Masaki was still secretly hurt from what happened two years ago, the day she unintentionally broke her heart, the day she inadvertently betrayed her. "How are things at Momusu?" she asked her former colleague.

"Good..." Masaki stuttered nervously. Kudo could see that Masaki tried her best to hold herself back. "...same old same old...." she mumbled.

She sighed. "Look, if there's something you want to say to me, just go ahead and say it." she told her bluntly. "It's been two years already."

Masaki looked at her old friend with hurt in her eyes. "Did those six years together meant anything to you?" Masaki began. "I thought it did...I thought you loved me..."

Kudo looked back and glared at her. "We've been through this before Maa, I wanted to move on to bigger and better things, it was fun while it lasted, but I wanted to live MY life and well...you and Morning Musume were holding me back." she answered with some venom in her voice.

Masaki's face fell, she clutched her chest. "What does Pink Ranger have that I don't?!" she exclaimed, hurt. "And don't tell me you're 'just co-workers', I know you too well Duu!"

She shook her head in disbelief. "Maturity." she snarled. Masaki just put her head down in shame, tears began to flow down her cheeks. "Maa-chan, you're 20-years-old, it's time that you grew up." she pointed out. "I know I have."

"You said we were going to be together forever!" Masaki exclaimed as tears flowed down her face. "You promised that we would graduate together!" she continued as she sobbed. "But now I see that you are nothing but a selfish jerk!" she snarled before she stomped away.

Kudo just turned around to look at the city landscape, only for her to punch the railing out of anger, upset that that girl still has not understood why she did what she did, sure she had so much fun being in Morning Musume and being with Masaki, but she did not want to stay forever and Masaki wanted to stay forever. "I shouldn't have made that pact with her, hell, I shouldn't have fallen in love with her." she mumbled to herself.

"You okay there Duu?" asked another voice. Kudo turned around to see that it was her co-star, Kazusa.

"Oh, I'm fine, just had an unwanted visitor from my past." Kudo smiled at her as she approached.

"Her?" Kazusa knew who she referred to. Kudo just nodded without a word. Kazusa then rubbed her co-star's cheek. "Don't let her get to you my love, she's just jealous that you are doing better than her." she smirked.

"Yeah, I just wished that I never got her hopes up." Kudo sighed while she caressed her side.

"Come on, let's go and celebrate our last night together at my room." Kazusa took Kudo by the hand. Kudo blushed at that and silently nodded in agreement as she let her take her up to her room. Kudo then looked and saw Maa-chan who watched them at a distance with hurt in her eyes. At this point, Kudo did not care as she then turned her attention away from her, as if Maa-chan was not there.

Masaki sighed and walked away. It was at that moment that she knew that she lost her precious Duu forever, and that she would never come back. Tears dripped on the concrete path as she walked away. She refused to re-join the party, she did not want to spoil it.

A Night At Maa-Chan's

27 January 2015 - 01:18 PM

CHAPTER I

"Great concert as always girls!" exclaimed Mizuki to the group. It was Morning Musume '15's spring tour concert in Hokkaidou and all the members were in high spirits from the show.

"The crowd really showed their Momusu pride today!" chimed Erina.

All the girls went off to their respective dressing rooms to rest up and change into street clothes; except one member.

"HEY GIRLS~!" yelled a squeaky voice. Everyone knew what that sound meant; Satou Masaki had an announcement to make. Most of them viewed this with dread, others with disinterest.

Now this did not meant that they hated her or disliked her (apart from Erina or maybe Ayumi) but it is because most of them just do not understand her as well, to most she's the groups biggest enigma. Someone needed to respond to her before she started to repeat herself and Mizuki, following in the footsteps of the great Gaki-san and Sayu, decided to play along with her. "What is it Maa-chan?" everyone stood at attention before her as they waited to hear what she had to say. Most prayed that whatever it is, it does not involve trees...or kancho.

"Well..." she began. "I just realized that my house is right outside of town...so I was thinking~~~, that maybe we should hold one big Morning Musume '15 sleepover at my place!" excitedly announced Maa-chan. "If there's not enough room we can sleep at the nearby temple instead, daddy won't mind."

"Okay..." Mizuki turned to the rest of the girls. "What do the rest of you think?" she tried to be diplomatic as possible. "Who wants to go?"

"Oh, I'm sorry Maa-chan, but I can't make it, I'm taking the 12ki's out for dinner." announced Eripon, an excuse she made to avoid Maa-chan whenever possible. "Isn't that right 12ki's?" she turned to the four new members.

"I never knew we where-OUCH!" Ogata was interrupted by a jab in the ribs from Eripon. "Oh right, now I remember." that was her cue to play along to prevent an awkward situation between her two senpai.

Naturally, both Kudo and Oda wholeheartedly agreed. "Okay, that's two, anyone else?" asked Mizuki to the group.

"I think I'll go." announced 12ki member Miki. "It's something different."

Eripon was shocked. Traitor! she yelled in her mind.

"Anyone else?" continued Mizuki.

"Me and Riho will be off on a dinner 'date' tonight, sorry." Suzuki sadly broke the news. She was more worried about keeping Riho company than some sleepover; Riho is too much of a lone wolf as is.

"And I might as well take Miki's place at the dinner with Ponpon." said Ayumi, who also was not a big fan of Maa-chan, not because she hates her, but because they have nothing in common, Maa-chan also finds her strange for some reason.

"Iikubo?" asked their leader.

"I'll be celebrating at the clubs as usual, no kids allowed." Iikubo answered.

"Well, Maa-chan, I would also love to go, but I'm taking an early plane ride to Tokyo since I have a variety show appearance, sorry Maa-chan." that was a fact. "Okay everyone is free to go, night everyone."

"Night!" the group of girls dispersed, it left only Maa-chan, Oda, Kudo and Miki behind.

"I'll go ask Manager-san if he wants to drive us there!" Maa-chan excitedly ran off. "MANAGER-SAN~~~!"

"Wait...isn't her home a short train ride and walk from here?" realized Oda.

"Don't worry, Manager-san is already telling her that." assured Kudo.

"Is Maa-chan always like this?" asked Miki to her two senpai.

"Depends on the time of day and weather." answered Kudo. "On some days, she's really mature and calm, a model idol, but on others, she can make everyone pull their hair out, Gaki-san learned that the hard way."

"Oh...wow..."

Maa-chan ran back to them. "Manager-san told me it's just a short train ride and walk from here...silly me." she giggled. "Come on girls!" she happily lead the group out.

"But we need to change first and so do you!" reminded Kudo.

Maa-chan looked down to see she still wore her concert outfit. "Oh right..."

Oda whispers to Miki. "The more excited she is, the more forgetful she becomes."

"Oh...I get it now..." nodded Miki.

The girls went off to their respective dressing rooms to get ready for a long night ahead.

A short random story I wrote. It has been a while since I did a fic and I wanted to bring some life to this thread. Maybe I'll add more.

Thank you

Lucky 7 [by ADRNEL]

14 May 2012 - 03:42 AM

This is an alternate universe fic in where the Lucky 7 auditions of Fall 2004 where successful, with Tsunku finding his "Ace".

~Prologue~

September 2004-Tokyo, Japan

When I started school, I started noticing that I was diffrent from all the other kids at school. I never developed any social skills, and no matter what I did, I always make myself more alienated from my classmates. I spent most of my alone time just listening to music (Western music from the 1970s and 80s where my favorite), reading books (especially reference books), and taking up calligraphy (although I was left-handed). My teachers were impressed by knowledge, but scolded me for using an informal tone and language when talking to them.

"I am not your friend, I'm your teacher!" the teachers would say.

In high school, I was put in an all-female school, but that didn't stop me from being an outcast, I wasn't bullied or anything, but nobody would come close, all the girls call me "Weird" for talking in a monotone voice, using my hands when talking and always avoiding eye-contact. Plus, I hated the uniforms, I hate wearing skirts. Again, I focused on my books, music and calligraphy. The only club I was part of was the calligraphy club, but even then I was an outkast.

It was in high school that I discovered my talent for singing. I was listening to Hamasaki Ayumi's "Seasons" on my MP3 player (apparently, I was singing along) when a classmate heard me. She said that I sounded almost exactly like Hamasaki and conveyed the emotions of the song perfectly. I never knew I could sing perfectly, I guess I got it from my mother (who used to be a member of the Takarazuka during the 70s and 80s, she left to start a music career, but it was never sucessful and was forced to end it when I was born, I never knew my father).

When I got home, I told mom what happend.

"Okay Nao, sing to me 'Ain't No Sunshine'" (my mom also loved Western music from the 70s and 80s as well)

I sung the song, I sang the English lyrics perfectly and without an accent (or at least that's what my mom said). At the end, my mom stared at me with her mouth open in shock.

The next day, I woke up, happy for my future, finally I discovered I had a talent that could get me accepted and recognized for the first time in my life. But I didn't know what to do, maybe mom knows an old friend at a record label (I doubt it), maybe I can join the Takarazuka Revue and be an otokoyaku (I am very tall for my age and I will never wear a skirt, but the competition is fierce and to regimented, I really love my routine), but in the end, I gave up hope, feeling I will never be famous, so I focused on my original dream of being a chemist instead.

September came, I was watching the TV, changing channels, eating my breakfast (I always sleep in on weekends) until I come across an episode of Hello! Morning. I love Morning Musume, and seeing as there was nothing on in the other channels, I decided to watch it.

But then, my life changed forever, Morning Musume is holding an audition!. Plus, I am eligable! I finally found a way that my new found talent can be recognized. I quickly went to my mother and told her.

"Okay, you can audition, as long as you do your school work. I want you to have a back-up career in case being an idol dosen't work out." said my mom to me.

My name is Miyazaki Nao [宮崎 尚] I will be the "ace" of Morning Musume!

CHAPTER I

Wednesday, December 20, 2000

It is a cold day in Hokkaido, Japan. Snow is on the ground as a van pulls up to a small cabin. A driver and 10 young women quickly file out of the van and grab their bags.

"Is this it?" was all Kago Ai could say when seeing the cabin.

"Damn it Aibon, I keep telling you that the cabin is not small, it is cozy." tried to explain Nakazawa Yuko

"I still think it is small." is what Aibon's partner in crime, Tsuji Nozomi, said.

"Don't worry, it's not about the size of the house that matters, it's the comfort and thoght that counts." said Yasuda Kei with hope.

Everyone files in and each girl takes off her winter gear and shoes, inside they see a couch, fireplace, a television and a full kitchen. It is obvious the cabin was meant for Western tourists for the winter.

"Okay girls, there are 5 rooms so when each have to share bedrooms-" Yuko was interrupted while talking to the group.

"I want to bunk with Kaorin!" yelled out Yaguchi Mari.

Yuko just ignores her and continues on, this time in her Kansai dialect. "without further interuptions, i will like to say that our secret santa gifts will be exhanged on Christmas, so go off to your rooms!"

Everyone quickly scatters, Nozomi with Aibon, Yossi with Rika, Goto Maki with Yuko, Marippe with Kaorin, and Natsumi Abe with Yasuda Kei.

The driver then hands ten pakages to Yuko, each one with the name of the recipient in Hiragana written on with thick black marker. Yuko puts them in a closet so no one dares to peak (especially Aibon and Tsuji).

The driver then gets on his van and drives off back to town, leaving the girls alone for the week.

Monday, December 20, 2010

It is a cold snowy day in Hokkaido, a van pulls up to the cabin as the driver (same van and driver from 10 years ago). The driver and 5 young women get off and see the cabin.

"Why is it small?" asked Tanaka Reina to leader, Takahashi Ai

"It is not small, it's cozy!" said a cheerful Mitsui Aika.

"I still think it is small!" responded Reina.

"Come on girls, we came here to celebrate Christmas, besides, the OG's celebrated Christmas here 10 years ago!" explained Niigaki Risa, cheering the group up.

Ai-chan and Gaki-san quickly take the gifts and head inside. Inside they see a couch, fireplace, full kitchen and a flat screen TV.

"Yay! We can watch my DVD's!" yelled out an excited Sayumi.

"No one wants to watch your girly DVD's." stated Reina.

"I would!" chimed in Aika.

While Aika, Reina and Sayumi argued, Ai is in her room putting her bag on the bed. While placing her purse on the bed, the contents spilled out, some of her makeup rolling under it. She gets down on the floor and sees an old looking Ham radio. She carefully takes it out, it is very dusty, but in still working order.

In another room, Risa is listening to a transistor radio that was already in the room.

"Last Saturday, a meteor crashed into the sun, as a result astronomers are expected the strongest solar storms that might cause unusual aurora borealis across most of Japan. Blackouts across most of the country expected. This event mirrors the exact same occurance from almost 10 years ago-"

Risa turns off the radio once she sees Ai come into the room. "I have something to show you." said Ai-chan.
