My H!P Story:
Once upon a summer day, my younger sister called me into our room to show me 'the cutest video ever'. I was mildly curious and watched it with her. What I saw was a cute japanese girl with a purple and gold outfit, singing her heart out while doing a very bubbly dance. Koharu's Papancake was only the first of what was to come..
I didn't bother looking up anything on this girl, though her genuine energy and charisma was touching to me. It wasn't until a few months later that I found another group that would excite me: Buono!
I started watching the Shugo Chara! anime and was immediately addicted to Kokoro no Tamago. After another month or two, I became curious enough to figure out that Buono!'s members were in other groups. When I went searching for a C-ute video to watch, I randomly selected one that seemed interesting. Tokaikko Junjou. It was then that the H!P line had finally hooked me, and I spent many hours watching C-ute and Berryz pvs..
A couple months later, I was watching a video (I can't recall what it was now..) when I saw a link to a video titled Mikan, with a picture of that charismatic girl. I immediately watched the video, though I only knew to watch for Koharu at that point. It wasn't until a few months later when I decided to start learning the names of these H!P girls that I really started listening to Momusu songs. They had a certain tone to them that wasn't like Berryz or C-ute. After I had learned more about this dynamic group, I was about to experience my first single release, and it was the release of a song that is still one of my favorites to this day. Nanchatte Renai.
The thing I most remember about that song was that I played that song on my computer for a full day. That song also made me notice a certain member of Morning Musume that just so happened to be the leader. it was also around this time when I starting reading up on Momusu's history and learning about how they went from second place girls to superstars. And how I developed a girl crush on Yossie from watching Mr. Moonlight..
It was soon after that that I found Hello! Online and, unfortunately, experienced my first Momusu graduation. The graduation of the girl responsible for getting me into H!P. The graduation of Kusumi Koharu. It was hard to handle at first, and I'm not usually the one to get emotional, but Koharu's energy and positive attitude helped me thru it.
So, thru future graduations, auditions, and possible scandals, I will remain a faithful Momusu fan. And I'll stick around for H!P too.
