at one point a couple of years ago I typed in "Japanese pop" in the google searchbar and found a video of W. It basically was instant love and a great new way to learn Japanese.
The reason I was looking for Japanese pop music was because I wanted to find musical ways of learning the Japanese language, and I figured that pop music was the genre in which the lyrics are most easily heard and understood.
