I haven`t seen any bad news about Aibon, except that horrible period in 2002-2003 when UFA treated her harshly. But main reason for that was her family situation.

I agree. All this talk about UF taking her back is sheer delusion. They have no reason to take her back and plenty of reason not to. The same reasons they had for firing her in the first place. They have lots of underage performers and they try to hire more every year or so. The parents of those performers want to know that their kids are in a wholesome environment. And the fans of those performers want to believe that the kids are all angels. Kago made herself notorious.* UF simply can't allow that. It would destroy the basis of their business.

(*And it wasn't because of "smoking". [Sheesh! ] It was because she spent a weekend shacked up with a middle-age man.)

What a false world this is. I don`t think for a second that Ai-Bon would be harmful to kids. She knows very well how to behave when being with children.
Do you really believe that wotas themselves are any angels? They are the real threat to kids. Ask Charmy of that!

I tweeted Aibon back that the two of them should collaborate again. With no UFA restrictions, as Mika is a UFA (unrestricted free agent) herself, it's more doable than a Momusu or W reunion.

Also: Mika looked more Asian in her younger years. I think she even once said something her family members looking more Caucasian as they get older.

Please explain me that "Caucasian" thing. In my geography, Caucasus is situated beetween eastern Turkey/Georgia and Southeastern Russia. It is mostly in Asia, it`s people are not at all like western Europeans. They can be pretty, look at Cher when she was young, her ancestors came from Armenia.
The whole "caucasian" thing i feel is a misunderstanding, if you mean people looking like western European and Scandinavian people.
Absolutely nothing wrong in other ppl or their looks for me!

I am still not an avid fan of anime, per se. I enjoy manga far more.

I am sad to say the only things anime I can remember having seen from the 1950-1995 era has been Doraemon and My Neighbor Totoro
Does Tenchi Muyo count? I watched it with a friend as a kid, but am still iffy on whether I like it or not .

I still watch Totoro occasionally ... most recently was 3 days ago

Tenchi Muyo does count. It began in 1991, and i think it is one of best animes in 90s.
In general, there is a lot of good anime besides those you mentioned. Anime is mostly based on manga, so it isn`t very different to enjoy.
If you want to see something as charming as Totoro, watch some Binchou-Tan, Manabi Straight or Aria. Give anime a try!
