^I think that since Sayu didn't meet with her juniors outside of work-related events during her time as leader (except for Harunan if I recall correctly) then it makes sense that they wouldn't see each other since her grad, especially with Sayu taking a break from showbiz at the moment. The girls haven't really mentioned her much to kind of respect that Sayu wants to stay out of the spotlight for a little bit, I think that Harunan even referred to her as "___-shige-san" in a pocket morning. But the happy birthday post was really cute, her strong admiration for Sayu is really showing through

^"On the brink"... That's a little dramatic And Anju is undergoing some serious rebranding, something that MM has kind of done already (albeit a little halfassed). 

 

@taylorniw, she doesn't suck in particular more than a ton of the other girls when they first joined (even her generation mates really)... We've had to deal with some serious doozies. Speaking recently, Haruna in particular was really worrying when she first joined because while she was pretty she couldn't sing OR dance (and wow her dancing... so bad it was actually hilarious) but she came into her own soon enough. Maria has decent stage presence and a sense of humor so she's not a complete waste of space...

 

It doesn't matter what 12th gen girls get promoted or not promoted or center'd or backdancer'd people will always complain "it's too soon" "it's not happening fast enough" "how come my girl isn't getting attention" "_____ sucks" so... I'm just counting my blessings that the outfits for this song specifically aren't completely ridiculous and it has a decent beat regardless of the fact that we will be dealing with this constant speculation up all the way until we get the Oricon rankings. 

@Happy Now - Exactly. People are extrapolating something from.... Not very much. So business as usual. 

 

So... How are we able to tell anyone's position from this video at all? All we saw was a short clip of them posing together for either a promotional photo (of which there are dozens) or a cover (of which there are also several editions), and neither tell us much in regards to who is center of anything   Y'all trippin. 

@AngelAndz, I don't think it's that the poll doesn't matter, it's just not much to write home about. There's nothing wrong with being excited (especially if your favorite ranks well) , but you have to take the results with a grain of salt. Only like 130 people even took this poll and a lot of people didn't even know about it... I'm not super active anymore and I mostly lurk around so I've normally got other things higher on my priority list than taking a random poll Instead I prefer to vote with my dollar and buy singles I like and goods if I like them enough. 

 

Regardless though, Sakura is by no means unpopular (I'm certain she would be in the top five according to the year-end overseas fan polls from last year) so there's nothing to worry about... Just not much to get excited for

 

I think what will be most interesting to find out is how 12th gen gains fans over time rather than who is on top (of course imho).

@ohwhatsherface, usually on the day they ship the items you are charged on your card an amount pretty darn close to the daily exchange rate from JPY to USD for that day. I find that the amounts quoted in the total on cdjapan tend to be accurate within a few dollars of what I end up being charged. I have never been charged any exorbitant fees from my bank for paying in another currency. Usually the fees come in to play when you are physically in another country and trying to pay with your card, at least for me that is the only case for which I have ever incurred any fees.
