Just got finished checking out the December 2008 JCB Hall concert DVD by AKB48/SKE48 (very hard to get, by the way) and found it to to be the most astonishing concert I've ever seen and heard. One performer really stood out: Jurina Matsui, and to think she was only 11 when she did this! Jurina was on the "all-star team" for "Seifuku," did "Cherry, Cherry Boy" with aplomb (the same song made famous by Atsuko and Ono in the 'regular' and 'shuffle' versions of the AKB 'first concert' of '07). Does anyone know whether Jurina is still with the group, or if she branched off in another direction? What a spectacular talent!

An e-mail campaign aimed at the Swedish Embassy in Washington, D.C., has been launched. It advocates a bailout for the Stockholm Japan Expo 2009, at least enough to allow Buono! to perform there in May. Details are here:
