^ yeah, J is pronounced as Y in many languages in Europe. Swedish too.
as for me, my name is Aron (with a long A, like in 'art'). since my name is pretty short i haven't had that many nicknames. not that have stuck anyway. been called a bunch of stupid names, though.
a classmate back in 3rd grade called me
Ronne.
back then my football mates called me
Torpeden (the torpedo) since i was fast and often ran up and took the ball from the defenders.
a little guy i know tries to call me Aron-Aron, but he pronounces it like
Ajon-Ajon (with j sounding like english y).
my younger brother calls me
Ajon-Dagog and
Smargolf and other weird stuff like that (but mostly those two). i like those the best.
i call him Skabbe (scabby + Abbe put together) and some other stupid names.
now at the university i get called
Aaron Maiden by a couple of guys. don't ask me why... i don't listen to metal. well, except for Dream Theater.
my last name is very similar to the name of the shop i used to go to and shop before i moved, that is Lidl. a lot of my university classmates called me
Lidl then, especially during lunches when i often had food from there with me.
and there's one guy that calles me Aron, but he says it like Gollum says his name sometimes (like does in
this video @ 1:19).
and i think i've been called
Aragorn and
Ariel and stuff like that too. and
Baron.
edit: and i've actually been called
3.0 too. 3.0 is the the lowest result you have to get on an exam to pass it. and i've actually got that about 4-5 times...
i like living on the edge.
