I used to use Winamp for every audio file I had, especially for streaming/internet radio.
I hardly mess around with it nowadays because I set my MPC Star to play every type of
media file on my system. I just found it faster to load up (literally a second). The only problem
with MPC is that, unlike Winamp, there isn't a equalizer for the audio for me to adjust the sound...but oh well.

On Windows I use Winamp with the classic skin, because I haven't really tried anything else.
On Linux I recently switched from xmms to Audacious, both Winamp clones.

I probably I'll give foobar2000 a try, since tons of people recommend it every time the topic of music players comes up.

I use iTunes and WMP. WMP is my default, so I use it to play random stuff I download before I decide to put it in iTunes. Then I listen to it in iTunes

I just like the fact there are so many DSP plugins to play around with foobar2000 to get the best sound out of my music. Especially important since I'm using a laptop and portable speakers can never really compare to a full-geared audio system.<3

I use winamp because of asian character support ^o^ Really hate WMP, it crashes all the time XD Winamp can take too much memory sometimes though, and does crash easily.... But the library is awesome.

^ I still use winamp, I like it because it dosen't take up too much of my limited ram

If you choose Winamp because of your limited ram you should try out foobar2000 ^^

+1

Foobar is great on resources.

I used to use KMplayer, but not too long ago I tried to get an update for it, something happened and all my videos stopped showing the video, and I could only hear the audio, but all my music was fine.

Eventually I fixed it somehow, and I now use WMP.

It was way too scary though, having over 40 GB of videos not working right.

^Yeah, I know a lot of cracked versions these days are capable of fooling Microsoft into thinking they're 'real' lol.:respect: I know most laptop users would be forced to have 'real' Windows. Either that or a Mac. Or these days, even Linux.
