Hi everyone,

The reason of this thread is to bring your attention and ask who has a lot of free time and want to do the timing for some long scripts as soon as possible (no next month, no next year, no -whenever i can/want-), depending on the results we'll accept your entries and the big guns at the HPS Headquarters might call you to join our ship.

As much as I'd like to do timing, I recently had an encouter with timing that made me realise my level of Japanese comprehension is no where near good enough to time things like interviews, making ofs, DVDs, etc...

Mind you, if there was romaji attached with it, as there are in PVs, then maybe... (If it wasn't for the romaji in PVs, I most probably wouldn't be able to time those either)

As for free time... Got tons of it! Want some? XD

Actually, we're looking for people who can work with timing in future projects, too. So a temporal collaboration it's not our main target. :D

Where did I imply that it would be temporary? :D (Or are you reffering to my trip to Uni' next year? :D )

It doesn't matter, as I'll apply for role as translator 2-3 years from now anyway (If I'm not too busy caught up in other projects in my main life, that is. Can never really know, can we? :) )

Good luck. XD

I'll love to, but I don't have many spare time lately so I prefer not to have that kind of compromise. In a few months if you're still recruiting...

Try to search for an aegisub tutorial in google, and learn yourself. I know a pretty good tutorial, but is in Spanish.

Anyway I don't use Aegisub, in my fansub we have a personal program that is miles away any other.

@achraf1989:

This here is my 25-ish min long unplanned, unscripted, unedited Aegisub tutorial. Let me know if it helps (or if it doesn't)

do you guys still need timers?

i'm learning that aegisub program you've recommended in this topic, as for now i'm working on the dschingis khan pv to practice my skills (but i still don't know how to put those fancy effects on subs, and got a little problem in the S-JIS format)

i could start working on the last week of march onwards (i just need to finish my final exam)

@gloomberg: YOu are confusing Timer and Typesetter.

Timer: Places Timings onto the Subs for how long they appear on-screen
TypeSetter: Inputs the effect onto the Timings

Hello!Fansubs is recruiting Translators and Karaoke-Typesetters, PM if interested.
OR if you need my assistance in fansubbing (QC/Encoding), let me know.

@gloomberg: Hehe your welcome as yeah a lot of people confuse them two as being the same thing, so just had to clarify that bit XD, best of luck to you if HPS recruits ya.

Sorry nemty, but we just brought on a new timer a few weeks back. I'll close this thread until the need arises again. Thanks for your interest, everyone!
