Today marks 10 whole years
Since the day I made my start as a solo idol in H!P.

10 years ago, the 17-year-old me
Had no confidence and was always worried
I did nothing but cry
But thanks to all of you who have been cheering me on, over these 10 years

Sponichi Annex has reported that Manoeri got married this week to the football player Shibasaki Gaku after he returned from playing in the World Cup in Russia.

I just read they actually got married last August but just registered it! I just found out from her Insta. He plays for a pro team in Spain, I wonder how that's going to work out for her.

Japanese footballer Shibasaki Gaku  (25) (midfielder for Spanish club Getafe CF and plays for Team Japan) and former Hello! Project artist, Mano Erina (27) are now married.

There was a lot of confusion of when they will get married but Mano clarified on her blog that there were a lot of reports that she had gotten married but because she and Shibasaki respected each others work, they wanted to announce when they became a married couple.

And so, she made the announcement on her blog.

According to friends of the couple, the two met through common acquaintances back in the fall of 2016 and the two would have a long-distance relationship for a year and a half, as Mano is based in Japan and Shibasaki is currently in Spain.

Back in April, the two reported that they were getting married but would not confirm anything until after the World Cup.

I've been thinking about Mano a lot in the past couple of weeks, going through her discography, concerts, performances.  Basically reminding myself of how great her run is.  I don't think I ever fully appreciated her as much while she was still in H!P, but the sum of her career so far has been special and one can look back on it to feel a tremendous amount of pride.

TBS will be showing the new Spring 2018 drama "SICK's Jo no Shou ~ Naikaku Jouhou Chousashitsu Tokumu Jikou Senjuugakari Jikenbo ~" (SICK'S ~ The Cabinet's Information Investigation Department Special Affairs Specialist Case Files ~) which will be shown exclusively via video streaming website Paravi from April 2018...

 

The new drama will be directed by Tsutsumi Yukihiko who is well-known for suspense detective drama series "Keizoku" and "SPEC" which were ranked #2 and #1 in terms of sales on the video streaming service TBS On Demand. "SPEC" was even the #1 most accessed content on the platform for 5 years in a row from 2012 to 2016 and is still the top title on the site as of this year. "SICK'S" is positioned as the finale to the "SPEC" saga and will be set in the Tokumu department which deals specifically with SPEC holders....

 

Sounds like a good series to be a part of

Oh, actually it looks like she's been in this series already. So I guess this spinoff is going to be focusing on her character.

Double happiness for me!! I love both SPEC & ManoEri..

one of my most fav Japanese drama ever..

got hooked after few episodes & was pleasantly surprised to see Mano in that drama.

Her character was one of the strongest with an interesting ability.. 

I cannot wait to see how did Satori (Mano's character) discovered her ability & came up with that iconic dance..

It is a much watch for me.. I guess I'm going to rewatch the drama & the movie now..

until today I cant forgive the writer of SPEC for killing off Satori & Ninomae, my 2 fav characters  Joy for me though, seems like even Ninomae will be in the spin-off too?

My friend zdorama is a *huge* J-drama viewer. He broke down one of Mano Erina's starring projects: Kareshi wo Loan de Kaimashita.

 

I watched this drama late last year and immediately crushed hard for Erina. Sooo adorable in this role!
