I'm 27 and been a Momusu fan since 1999.  Outside of Iikubo, all of the current members are younger than my oldest niece.  I have several siblings that are 15+ years older than me due to both of my parents being married more than once.

I've been a Nippon-ophile for most of my life. It's over thirty years since the first time

I said to someone "I don't know...It's puzzling...perhaps I was Japanese in a previous life."

But I held out on the anime. When I was in the navy I once had a roommate who was an

anime FREAK. At first, when he popped in a video I'd just crack open a book.

He watched only subs, no dubs and something kept impinging itself on my notice, after a few

times I realized it was the female characters speaking in their native tongue.

I realized consciously for the first time, "My god, that is just so incredibly beautiful."

 

When I finally joined the online world in '08 I quickly learned that I could get unlimited access to

info, imagery, and SOUNDS of Japan. I discovered Idols and realized the

higher the pitch of the voice uttering the Nihon-go the better. When I found H!P I realized

that I didn't have to settle for only silly music. The rest, as they say, is history.

I turned 20 about a month ago.

 

Current H!P girls that are older than me are: Tsugunaga Momoko, Yajima Maimi, Nakajima Saki, Suzuki Airi, Okai Chisato, Mitsui Aika, Wada Ayaka, Fukuda Kanon, Iikubo Haruna, Miyazaki Yuka & Kanazawa Tomoko.

 

Only 11 girls ....soon to be 10 after Kanon graduates.

The only current girls older than me are Momoko and Maimi, I'm 23 years old, I've been a H!P fan since late around '05-early '06!

Its weird, I took a break from Hello! Project between 2009-2012 (I only really followed Kago Ai's career). When I returned, suddenly nearly everyone was much younger than me! It was quite a shock when before the only younger members before then were Aika and some of the H!P Kids/Berikyuu, lol.

I'm 24, so I'm older than everyone in H!P by about 8 months.
