I think it's more that people are more focused on the ranking than the sales. If they're not in the top 3,they can sell 70k+ and people will say they flopped
Actually their sales flops this time. They finished #5 with 47,034 copies sold. They can do better, just by having more events.

How are their sales a flop this single when it's their usual numbers... Especially for a double A side this isn't bad

People just want Anju to be a flop so bad, but they are right on par with their normal sales.

Also those other singles with on the charts for a few weeks. They are right around what they normally sell. IDK why ya'll want this group to be a "flop" so bad.
Their last single had a bit more promotion to it, mostly because of all the Music festivals Anju went to over the summer. This single really only had the bare minimum. Sales look pretty good to me.

This is the problem: Kuyashii wa is a very catchy song, on par with Adrenaline Dame, Piece of Peace is not a bad song. ANGERME has leveled up since 9th gen joined. However, the sales is still less than the last 2 singles. This is the reason: Lack of promotions. "Flop" may be a too negative word, but the sales is lower than expected (great songs, great members)
Next time, find the evidence before concluding whether people want ANGERME to flop! I think it's frustration instead of an intention to label the group as "flop"

Are they the only H!P group with such distinct sales between the Oricon and Billboard numbers? The disparity is very noticeable.
I actually prefer "Piece of Peace" to "Kuyashii.." Anyway, it's a double a-side compared to the previous 2 singles which are triple a-sides, so likely they lost some sales because of that.

No, except for BEYOOOONDS and Ocha Norma, other H!P groups will have about 20 - 30k higher sales for Billboard.
Right now, Juice=Juice is the group with the lowest sales, though

Nah dude it's not just you, I see bunch of people on twitter saying this single is a flop. Remember this is just the FRIST weeks sales. They aren't even that far behind the last two singles.
Hakkiri's first weeks sales where 46,564
Ai Masho's first weeks sales where 56,511
This single sold more in it's first week then Hakkiri and 10K less then Ai Masho, but Ai masho lit had such amazing promotion.
But people need to remember just because you don't like the single doesn't mean the single is a flop. This single is doing fine and will probs sell around 55K which is great sales for Anju.

Don't forget, the last two singles were Tripple A-Side singles, so they had 2 editions more. So for bulk buying fans (or events etc) it sells more.
Kuyashii wa / Piece of Peace isn "only" a Double A-side single.
It's expected to sell little less
