I just checked out Ocha Norma's competition. Mr Upfront is gonna have to grease quite a few palms for ON to win. Tani Yuuki will probably win.

ON did not win it, and I guess the group will experience a major pitfall and it will take the group at least 5 years to recover. Any H!P groups who did not win the award had a very rough start.

ON did not win it, and I guess the group will experience a major pitfall and it will take the group at least 5 years to recover. Any H!P groups who did not win the award had a very rough start.

I underestimated how much Japanese like Enka I thought Tanaka Ami had the least chance of winning. Tani Yuuki was the best in my opinion.

 

ON won't experience a major pitfall. H!P has too much $$$ and too good of reputation for that to happen.

Honestly, I was surprised they were nominated as it was. I don't feel they had as strong of a debut as other groups in the past.

MM: Ayumi, Maria, Rio |||| A: Rikako, Ayano, Wakana |||| JJ: Ruru, Akari, Riai

They don't have to win to be successful. Remember Berryz and J=J also didn't win and they have successful careers.

LOL! Are you sure about that? The last group to NOT win was Juice=Juice in '13 and their career bloomed just fine. In fact, they were the first group besides Momusu and its various offshoots (Mini Moni, Pucci Moni) to score a #1 Oricon weekly ranking. On top of that, their graduated members are faring nicely, with the exception of Kanatomo's forced retirement due to medical issues.

^ that's interesting! I always had the impression that Yonemura was quite popular in Japan, so it's strange to see her at the bottom. Nice to see Ishiguri doing (comparatively) well though.
