STU48 will have their major debut and will be on King Records as label! Single release on 2017.11.01, which is the fastest debut in 48G.

Ugh Kahotaru pushed back even more even tho she is the best at Showroom...
And Yabushita Fu getting all this attention because she is the sister of a graduate member

Personally I'm happy as some of the girls I follow made it in (Mii, Chihochan, and Miyumiyu), and especially so Miyumiyu. 

 

And yes of course Fu gets all this attention just because she is the sister of Shu, it's just the same like how Orin gets attention because she's the sister of Tomu. So far I can't say either sister-girls have any particular redeeming qualities that makes them worthy of said attention, but here we are. 

 

Anyways, this is a single, so those girls who didn't make it (and those who did) will surely be part of c/w tracks and their PV's as well, so it'll be interesting.

I'm pretty new to really following 48 groups but is this how senbatsu announcements usually go? I felt horrible for all the girls who didn't make it. It was especially sad to see Cuca cry at the end

In general no. It depends on the groups. Recent SKE48 single had a big screen monitor show a video, with new single information, and showing #16 and an image of the girl and a short clip of her being told she's in it (with her reactions thereafter), then next, etc. all the way to #1. 

 

With AKB48 singles sometimes their lineups are announced at big events, with fans present, so you get the big reactions and so on. 

 

Other times there's no announcement really, other than perhaps in the theater when they're performing. 

 

This announcement seemed very intimate and low-key. 

 

Of course, there's always tears, as some girls will inevitably not make it. But at least this is the 1st single for STU48 and not their 30th, so there's plenty of opportunities still.

Imamura Mitsuki is in the senbatsu that makes me very happy !!!!!!!!!!!

she's one of the good vocalists in STU48 (whole 48G maybe)

Aw, Cuca... Hopefully she's center on one of the B-sides and gets a part in their next single. This must really suck for her though.

Pretty much all of the girls who weren't picked cried. You could see before the announcements and during, all of the girls were very nervous. Quite tense atmosphere. But Naachan's post-announcement comment to the girls was very inspiring I think:

選ばれなかった子は大差はないから選ばれなかったからダメと思わず 

もっとやってやると熱い気持ちを持って。
