This was the best place I could think of to talk about things related to the former auditionees
On the contrary, I think the hair cut is cute on Renren but I am still surprised she cut it because it kinda was her trademark with those panda hair-ties and the twin tail. So now I am thinking if there is something in the works that warrants an image change.

TBH, I didn't watch ANY of the audition stuff. I'm sometimes curious after the fact, but as far as I'm concerned auditions are sausage making (I don't want to know how the sausage is made, I don't want to know what animal parts were ground up and put in there...). So I just didn't know the connection.

Anyway, 4/10 is "Short Cut Day" in Japan. So maybe related to that? Or that was the final "push" after wanting to do something different but not having a particular cause/spark. (You can see the ショートの日 hashtag...)

I also didn't see any other post related to it on twitter.
Like during Twin Tail day most of the idols I followed posted something related to it.

I don't know why it's Short day, but I can make something up that sounds sketchy and unreliable enough that I think Japanese people would go for it.

Does anyone know the lyric part division for UUG2 version of Forever Young? I'm interested but aside from Kajishima I can't really tell anyone else's voice yet.

 

As an aside, I think their version is nice but it's clear they're vocally rougher than UUG still. Nobody sounds bad, just less polished I guess. But then again it's hard to beat over a decade of experience, though I know some of the UUG2 members do have some prior experience.

UUG(2) gets their first TV CM with Akita branch of Daihatsu... TV!?! I couldn't even remember if UUG had a proper TV CM yet

Dunno, but Sasaki Nozomi is expensive, and Dan Mitsu is the wrong image (and probably expensive) , so Yoshikawa Mayu brings home the bacon!

As you can see, Akita Daihatsu is a little... less than... erm... y'know... quality?



But it still does make me wonder if she has some name-recognition in Akita...

UUG(2) are performing on their own at TIF2017. Honestly I'm so ready for them, they've only been together for a couple of months and they have pretty good chemistry as a group. Hopefully they get their own original songs this year.
