From what I've seen from Google Images, looks like Yodobashi stores got crowded.

I went to a GameStop in my state, and it was crowded by 10pm (22:00). The GameStop I went to had four extra units, along with some extra accessories. I managed to get one of the extra Pro Controllers (those sold out fast, both pre-orders and the extras). I also managed to switch my pre-order from the regular system to the one with the red and blue Joy-cons (no pun intended). By 10pm, only a few accessories / amiibo remained.
I don't have BOTW yet, but I've messed around with the UI and I like it. Tabletop mode is a bit awkward, but you get used to it. The Switch fits nicely in my hands, and the Joy-cons are easy to use. It's also really easy to screenshot and remove the Joycons from the system.
Also the neon red and blue Joycons are BRIGHT. Like painfully bright, and it's just great. : D

Spent $450 on
-the console
-the pro controller
-breath of the wild
-the big ass guardian amiibo
thrown in the 128 gb sd card i bought i spent about $500 for my switch and no regrets tbh. i knew we were getting 4 controllers at my work but then i spontaneously bought a console there too even though I already had one preordered elsewhere. I'm just going to resell that one on craigslist for like an extra $50 (which is less than anything else i've seen on craigslist in my area so don't hate me)

Just saw this Switch problem compilation video. Has anyone who has bought it encountered problems with their consoles?

Surprisingly, no mine is working just fine. No dead pixels or left joy-con issues.
The only problem I had is with the game dropping to 20 fps in some forest areas. Seems like a port issue rather than the hardware, since the issue doesn't occur on the portable mode, just when it's in TV mode.
Some sales statistics:
In Japan: 313k~331k units (I've heard these two numbers, ones from a Nintendo news site, one from Famitsu)
In NA: Exceeded any first two day sales (second highest was the Wii)
n UK: 80k units
The system has a good start. Let's hope Nintendo can hold onto it.

I noticed when I play Zelda on the tv it does lag as though it is loading the setting, but I haven't had any problems.
In fact I am loving the console, can't get enough of Zelda - by far one of the longest and hardest Zelda games in terms of how to complete a quest. Finding food, creatures and going about the terrain. It is a lot more realistic in how your horse doesn't even come to you as you have left him some place else.
I have been playing it a lot on the handheld, especially in bed, ahh so fun .

So, there was an ARMS Direct today, with a Splatoon 2 trailer.
I wasn't 100% sure about ARMS, but I'm actually looking forward to it! The characters seem interesting, the fighting seems intense, and there's a lot of modes. I'm actually considering buying it.
And Splatoon 2 looks great as well. The single play mode seems more fleshed out compared to the original.

Switch has a nice design. Definately a step up from PS Vita.

The Nintendo Switch is a hybrid video game console released by Nintendo in March 2017. It's a hybrid device that can be used as both a home console and a portable device, allowing players to play games on their TV or on the go. The Switch features detachable Joy-Con controllers, which can be used individually or attached to a grip to form a traditional gamepad.
