Any info and discussion on this board about places to stay, places to see, and other general tips for Japan? I haven't been there in ages and that was with parents. Will be nice to explore the country alone and with others this time.

I got a tip from a friend on Idol!Swap (on fb) regarding a rental place, where you can rent a phone in japan or a pocket wifi so you can be connected online all the time.
I'll rent a iphone from there (since Iphone is cheaper to rent than android)
and a friend from japan, tipped me regarding suica card
Suica travelcard
Will put this on the first page too

For the H!P concert on March 28-29, will they be on sale in February as well? Will FC be given first dibs and we fight for the scraps left?

Hey guys
I'm not very active on here but I've been living in Japan for a while now and still haven't made it to any concerts, apart from one MM show at Ikebukuro Sunshine. So i have been thinking to just go for it and get a ticket for one of the H!P concerts this month.
Since it will be my first big concert, I would definitely feel less awkward if i wasn't alone.
My work schedule is all over the place at the moment, but it seems like if i do go, it will be either the 4th, 10th or 11th. I probably won't know if i can go for sure until the last minute, but i was wondering if anyone on here is planning on going any of those days and would maybe be interested in meeting up?

So any places one must see, eat, etc in Tokyo?
Just a couple places off the top of my head:
Akihabara
Gundam in Diver City
Tsukiji Fish Market
Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office - for the view
Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden - with a girl
Shibuya Crossing

Do yourself a favour and buy Lonely Planet, especially if you plan on returning multiple times to Japan.
Other places to visit off the top of my head:
Ginza
Asakusa for Senso ji, Sumida River, Asahi Beer Tower, Sky Tree
Meiji Jinju which is also near Harajuku & takeshitadori - street where you can buy idol tickets at resellers
Tokyo tower / Roppongi Hills
Ueno zoo
Day trip to Nikko
You can also the staff at the place you're staying at
etc.

^^ Or visit japan-guide.com.
Visit Tsukishima for lunch and Odaiba for night.
There is a ticket shop in Ueno near the H!P store on the main street or you can find one in Shibuya. If you end up with no ticket they might still have some.

Awesome, thanks. Travelling to Japan relatively easy for work. Travelling to Japan to enjoy it and see idols, that's difficult.
