About her dad...........he mostly played for the Seibu Lions, where he won Rookie of the Year in '98. In '06 he had a chance to play for the Milwaukee Brewers but couldn't get a work visa(?), so Mai missed her chance to grow up in the US. He played two more years with the Giants and the Yokohama Bay Stars before retiring. Now he's a coach for the Giants. Evidently he was an outfielder most known for his speed.

After watching the latest H!S, this girl has completely won me over. How is she 12?! She is so outgoing and talkative and bubbly. I don't know if I heard it correctly, but she said she isn't very confident in her singing and dancing, but is in her talking (and I can see why, lol).
