Yes, but bear in mind this "first" day is actually the second day, as first sales figures came out on Tuesday. The reason why the numbers are chopped up like this is believed to be due to the recent public holiday in Japan. So shipping figures etc. may be spread out.

 

We'll see with the rest of the week. Otherwise, it's very low.

Today at #1 with 12,888 sold. Total of 137,175 so far. I guess the only thing I can imagine is that last day has the pre-orders or so far not shipped or accounted for singles added to sales figure. Otherwise I have to say this was a big decrease in sales.

I've heard that the Kanto theater edition copies haven't been shipped/accounted for yet.

Could be the result of HKT wota not having enough for this single because of spending their money on SSK? (Although, that was months ago so i don't think it would be such a huge factor.)

I doubt that. I mean, with 2 members ranked in sousenkyo, it means that their budget is not that small.

 

The most possible reason for me is that the theater CD sales haven't been counted yet.

There's also speculation that this is the result of a downtrend of sales... like AKB and SKE. (I hope this is not the reason of the sales drop)

Er.. I think the sales should drop because it follow the direct of the whole 48G ..

Obviously some of the money may go to the other idols including Nogizaks46 who are doing very well now.. 

 

But to me..  it's seem 48G single tend to do better overall in a few weeks than just week 1 result nowadays

It may be management driven or maybe the wota are just spreading their buys to not restrict themselves to just week 1..

its like if you get 4th in the Olympics .. your training is probably not hard at all ..

Well, that mindset is crazy. Try telling the girls like Piichan, Chihiron, Natsu, Moripo, etc. that their positions don't matter. It's obvious all of those girls together add up a nice accumulated figure. But that said, I'm not entirely sure why senbatsu election should matter for this single.

look pretty bad .. but we got 1 more day ..as they started earlier by a day than usual ..
anyway .. isn't it the norm nowadays .. all we are doing most of the time with every 48G single is trying to reason why the sales decline ..
but honestly .. do we actually expect them to keep raising or be able to maintain the high sales forever?

It's not the norm. There's been a few cases where there were alleged issues with the shipping, hence expectation of higher sales than what it ended up being. 

 

At any rate, I don't think anybody expects them to raise sales, or maintain high sales forever. That's just stupid. And to add, what AKB48 in particular have done is beyond anybody's imagination, in terms of high sales and longevity. It's truly astounding how long they've been at it with such intensity and high numbers.

 

HKT48 may have been affected by holiday which have hindered shipping. We'll find out in not too long anyways.

 

PS: Ares13, are you forgetting that there's still the 26th, 27th, and 28th left of this week...?

I meant they started the sales on Monday .. instead of the usual Tuesday .. so we got one more day of result to look at ..

That's a relief. 

Though it may not exceed the opening week of the 3rd single, I think it's a fairly good number considering (I think "Sakura... sold 277K the first week)
