Well if it helps, I certainly had no associations with H!P when I heard it.

It was only Ares13 who mentioned the H!P group Juice=Juice, since the title of the HKT48 song is "Melon Juice" and he somehow didn't feel that the song qualifies for having the title "Melon Juice" related to it. Him about that.

I cannot really recall any song from a 48 group that sounds like a standard H!P song either in vocals or composition/sound, so that's a good sign to me.

LOL .. OMG ..
I thought I am the only one who can't stand all the recent H!P songs so much that I declare that I quit on them after 6 years until they come up with a series of musical reform ..
I quit even though I have 5 oshimen in it and 3 are like Kami oshimen level ..but the music finally break me ... >.<

ok ... but in any case .. I really need hear more of the song ...

anyway don't have to take my comment on the music seriously ..
but I am getting it for sure seriously... lol

I think the song is good after hearing more ..

Guess its just the "melon juice" take me aback ..
maybe because it is in English and i know what it means.. makes it feel too "shallow" to me ..
but then again .. they may have other song in such matter of wording but in Japanese which I do not understand and so it feel a lot more classy to me ..

Melon Juice is an okay song IMHO. It's really genki and I like the beat, but it's got no lyrical worth whatsoever I'd say. At any rate I hope its sales will be double that of Suki Suki Skip.
