Who else here besides doinkies is eagerly watching this new drama? I've seen up to ep 4 and doinkies loves it so far. It's really sad, though :crying And it's also based on a true story...

(SPOILER)The real Aya died when she was 25..^_^

Anyway, anyone else here love this J-drama?

Omfg... I never thought I could cry as much as I did when I watch this :crying It's so great, I recommend it to anyone. I'm avoiding the 4th episode right now 'cause I don't want my uncle to ruin it...

[Spoiler for episode 2]

The hardest part for me was when her mom was running around everywhere, hoping the doctor was wrong and her daughter is fine. Then when she got the phone msg from Aya and broke down in the car, I had to stop it I was crying so hard. Damn... it must be so hard to be a parent with this. I don't know how I'd handle it.

[/end spoiler]

Maybe that's what hits me the hardest. It's a true story and the pictures at the end with the ending theme.

Well, I've downloaded it but I haven't watched it yet.I've been so busy with work I haven't had time really. I'm hoping to get to watch it maybe this weekend. ^_^

True stories like this always make it more powerful. Although even if it's made-up, if a character or characters has or have health problems it always hits me hard. Since I've always had health problems my whole life. It just hits me a lot harder since I can relate. So I really end up like this ~~> :crying

Which group are you watching though. PBF or Kioku? ^_^

i've seen all the recent episodes so far... ahh it is really sad ^_^

this drama is definitely a tear jerker!! i really like this drama though~
sawajiri erika does a great job portraying aya

what i found weird was why the real aya's mother wanted to add Haruto in the drama even though he never existed in real life.. i guess for some side story? anyway, i really like this drama and i would recommend to it everyone!! :c40:

I guess the real Shioka felt sad that her daughter hadn't had somebody like Haruto in her life to support her.

After watching 3 episodes, I was thinking about stopping watching this drama, because it's too sad. But I guess I'll keep watching it.

I don't think there's an English translation for the original diary and her mother's book out there, and I don't think it's been published in any other Western languages for that matter, but they might have been translated into Chinese, possibly even Korean as well. But doinkies doesn't know Chinese or Korean, so I don't really know.

There are actually 3 books.. Chinese ver I havent seen, prob check it out again. Japanese novels are almost never translated into English. The level of Japanese seems manageable, so prob doinks can have a go a it

I think the insert songs are very nice in this song.
Very touching and sad as well :crying ..
Well just the thought of the story is sad enough plus all the
elements the drama throw inside and the sight of a pretty young lady
having her life ruined gives a :crying :crying :crying

"Mizuno" is my favorite Japanese last name.
