Personally, I thought it was a bit iffy. I'm not keen on Yamamoto as Tamaki, but I'm sure he'll grow on me. He seemed to play the character well, he just doesnt look the part. But I like how they seem to be sticking more to the manga rather than the anime. It gives it a fresher feel.

Have to agree. After watching the first ep for the 3rd time, I'm not liking Yamamoto as Tamaki at all.
And haha! Its funny that you say that actually, because I was hoping for her to make an appearance too! Maybe as a fangirl. Or even Renge! I can totally imagine Yaguchi shouting "OOOOOOOHOHOHOHO~"

As for Haruhi, I'm borderline. Whenever I think of a live action Haruhi I cant help but think

Just watched the first episode (without subs) and I found it really good ^^ I haven't actually read the manga or watched the anime, but I know the general idea of the story. I couldn't understand all that was said of course, but enough to enjoy the episode I really hope this show gets subs ~

And I actually find all the actors really nice. Especially Haruhi and Tamaki (love Yusuke ) he's totally hilarious as that character! I loved the scene when Haruhi said "uzai" (noisy/annoying) so Tamaki Great show!

I doubt we'll get her as Renge, but the image in my head of Yaguchi spinning out of the club room floor "Oooooooohohohoho"-ing is just too epic for words
I'm curious at who will be playing her now...

Also, I really /really/ like the theme song. But it has no release date yet Dx I cant find it anywhere. Unless they're going to release it on the shows album, like an anime OST soundtrack.

Added the official website where you can see episode summaries and more cast info. It seems Renge isnt Yaguchi. Ah well, we had hope! Haha. Shes still pretty cute though.
Also added a link to episode two =) Its alot funnier than last weeks. I want that bow.... The actting it still pretty bleh. But its better than the first

I've seen the first two episodes, and I'm really liking it so far! :-D I think they've done well. I especially like the special effects, they made them funny wihtout looking too cheap. I'm really liking the actress they picked for Haruhi, I think she's great for the part!

I like this drama too! The only thing that bothers me still is how each ep. is only 30 minutes long. Too short imo.

Starting to like Yusuke as Tamaki a lot now. He still doesn't look the part, but he became to true to his character! (Lol at Tamaki calling himself "Father" )
