So today is finally the day where we will see the first episode of 「横山由依(AKB48)がはんなり巡る京都 美の音色」 will be aired in Japan. I really hope someone will record it and put it on the tracker :3 Sadly it is aired quite late (3:23am), so I am fearing production value won't be very high :/ I am really looking forward to this, I think it is awesome Yui has been given her own TV-show, even if it is only once a month!

Yokoyama just finished hosting for today's "Listen!". Her vocal tone was slightly higher than what I'm used to hearing from her so I found that a bit weird, but she did a good job throughout the program. Apparently she couldn't tell the difference between her Kyoto dialect and the normal Kansai dialect at first (if I recall clearly, she said that she thought she was speaking a standard Kansai dialect) until she spoke to more people from the area.

Her reactions to the messed up or just plain weird fantasies a lot of her listeners had posted, as well as the "What is inside the box" corner were very amusing (I had a good laugh here and there), so I do hope she does more of this type of variety in other programs, or gets more opportunity in not just radio shows.

Tonight was Yokoyama's Tuesday LISTEN!

I have to say, she's really good at dealing with her fellow members in order to make sure that the program doesn't get too noisy, and was praised by the guests (Uchida, Umeda and Shimazaki) for being a person that has good administrative skills like Takahashi Minami does.

Her strict personality was certainly played with by both the guests and the people that sent mail, which was funny to listen to, and Yokoyama herself was very funny on most of the 2 hour broadcast.

The funny thing is that even despite the day's topic being "Advice from the 19 (to be 20 in 3 days) Yokoyama," she couldn't really give much advice at all, and she herself realized it quickly and laughed.

She also touched upon the topic regarding members saying her room is messy, which was true. It wasn't trash that made it messy however, it was more the pile of clothes that she wears, receives from senior members, and clothes she herself buys. She also goes on the topic regarding how she's perceived as having a lame sense of fashion, to which she reluctantly agrees. She says she tries hard to not look unfashionable, but whenever she tries on clothes, the initial image she has in mind gets easily muddled up and she ends up swapping out individual pieces until she ends up with what she has.

Oh well, since Kojima Haruna often gives her clothes anyway, I'm sure she can give some fashion advice. Itano shouldn't be that hard to approach either, especially considering that Yokoyama isn't shy and can confidently talk to people whenever she wants to.

All in all, it was a great episode for Yokoyama fans to learn much more about how her mind works and her personality in general. Recommended to listen to.

For me Team N is the best team there is currently, so it is a promotion in my point of view for anyone who gets assigned to it.


Anyway...

Team N definitely seems like the best team for her to be assigned to since it is where the most popular members of NMB are, but also because there are members at her age. While I love team M, it does have a lot of young members, and no members who are very popular yet. And of course team BII is out of question ^^
So it makes good sense for her to be assigned to team N
Personally I wish she would have gone to team M, since I feel she could add so much more to team M compared to team N...

Is it just me or had Yui the exact same hair style during her NMB48 debut theater performance as Aanyan had on the N1 DVD performance? They have similar facial structure too, so it —in some way— gave me a déjà vu feeling.
