The Hangry panel at NYCC was fairly well attended which must mean there's a decent amount of fans around the tri-state area. It seems like every other region of the US has a thread so I figured I would start this one.

I heard from some ppl at NYCC that there is apparently some sort of H!P fan club that gets together twice a year for fan-related activities in New York City and that they have a meeting coming up this winter. Anyone else have more details about this?

no ... but i'd very much be interested in attending such an event!

i was at NYAF and really enjoyed talking to fellow fans out loud and in person.
but after the panel and autograph, it seems people scampered in their own directions rather quickly.
i hope we can find a way to connect in the near future.

Completely random but the tri-state area is New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Pennsylvania isn't part of it. XD By the way I'm from New Jersey. :D I'm not sure why there aren't many people posting here. Maybe you should change this to the Northeast fans or something so a broader amount of people will post. This thread is losing to the Southeastern fans! XD

I'm posting this here and on the Southeastern thread too.

I've been planning a trip to Japan for like 2 to 2 and a half weeks during the mid july-mid august range next year. My friend Darius may or may not be coming. I'd like to go meet up or stay with some H!O members if anyone is willing to go.

I was planning on staying in Ueno, near Akiba. Hotel is really nice, decently priced. Hotels.com gives a free day if you spend 10 days at the hotel. I'm mainly just in Tokyo to plan out H!P concerts, stores in the area. I'm down for anything else that we plan to do.

Message me if your interested in those dates.

Hi guys--
I'm in a documentary video class right now, and am considering doing my final project on idol fans (particularly of H!P and particularly American, mostly for access reasons, etc.) Mostly, I'm curious if anyone would be interested in being a "subject" for this, as that's really what's going to determine whether I do this project or not. I'm living in mid/upstate New York right now, but could easily get to NYC or New Jersey and any of the surrounding towns (preferably accessible by bus etc.)
Clearly we'd have to talk to make sure neither of us have dreadful intentions, and I wouldn't necessarily have to shoot at your house or anything--again, we'd have to talk--but I just wanted to see if there was any interest.
Thanks--

MAJOR INTEREST!! Im in NYC and that's so weird, I've wanted to make a doc like that for years now, I just don't have the means! I wish I had equipment to take to Seattle with me to interview the Berryz fans, just as I wanted to film the Momusu fans in La and the AKB fans here in NYC and the Kago fans... so many missed opportunities...I think it could actually be a feature and play film festivals if done right. Good luck!

Oh and I am the guy who told Steven we get together from time to time...I am flying out to Seattle with two other H!P fans from NJ and The Bronx..we exist, I just don't think everyone does the forum thing, I've been here for 3 years and never really do the forums but have been getting into it recently with the trip approaching and all...let's all stay in touch and get together this Spring..how about a group outing to Sakura Matsuri at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden to see Morning Musuko, the J-pop big band!!

If you can, go the 1st! We're having a big wota meet up and that young lady will be filming, PLUS Morning Musuko! All they do are covers of famous J-pop songs. They do Love Machine and may incorporate more H!P, the leader is a fan. I have seen them twice and it is stunning to hear and see them perform. got to their website @ morningmusuko.com there is a clip of Love Machine from their very first public performance that I was privileged to attend. See you in Seattle!!

This thread hasn't been dusted off in ages, but I'm wondering if there are any H!P fans from the northeast who are planning on going to a NYC concert if Juice=Juice does one there on their world tour? I'm from western/central Massachusetts and got to see MM at New York in 2014, and it really wasn't that much of a hassle taking a bus. I think we're pretty lucky to have such an internationally renowned city up here.

MM: Yokoyan - Miki - Mei || ANGERME: Rikako - Ayano - Shion || J=J: Ruru - Riai || Tsubaki: Yuumi || BEYOOOOOONDS: Miyo - Rika

I was planning on it, but with so long without news about the concert in America I'm not sure if it'd even be a possibility anymore. I'm fine with that, since J=J is overworked as it is... but if they do announce something, that'd be awesome! It would be fun to meet up with fellow fans from the area if that opportunity arose.
