This is a brief summary of what to expect from any seller in the swap and trading section.

1 It is a sellers responsibilty to decribe an item correctly.

Any error in the decription and they are deemed responsible.

An item can be sold if it is in poor condition or damaged as long as it is clearly stated that this is the case.

2 Items should be decribed fairly.

Only state an item is rare if it rare or only describe an item as mint condition if it is mint and so on.
People often make mistake with what the think is rare and almost no item is ever mint even when new.

3 A seller should point out if an item is covered for damage or loss before any payments are made.
They should make it clear if it can be covered and then give the buyer a choice of what postage method they would like to use.

If the seller does not do this they are considered to be responsible for the package by not informing the buyer of this.

To protect the seller they should always keep proof of postage even if the item is not insured by not having a proof of postage the seller would take responsibility for the item since they cannot show that they posted it in the first place.

4 Postage should be charged at cost and no more but there is no rule stating that a seller cannot add a "handling fee" this is just considered a poor service and no more.

5 If a buyer decided to pay by sending cash through the post they should do this registered to cover themself.

6 The holding of items for others is optional but once an item has been held it should be held for the agreed amount of time.
On the flipside a buyer should notify the seller about any changed straight away.

7 A seller should be clear on how long it will take for them to send an item before payments are made. Anything much over that is consider poor service and is enough for a buyer to pull out of the sale especially if paying for express services just for a seller to take ages.

8 Once a sale is agreed a buyer cannot be forced to comit but unless they have good reason not to it is only considered bad form.

9 No advertising your merchandise that is outside of this forum.

10 If you fail to comply you may have your threads for trading locked and you might be suspended or banned from the forum.

11 A seller and buyer both have a responsibility to reply to each other via pm or whatever method you use. By this i mean if they have changed there mind about something or if something can or cannot be done. They should definetly make the other person aware of any problems straight away. Replying within 24 hours should not really be a problem. It would be considered poor if someone does not reply within 72 hours. Even a simple i acknowledge what you have said response counts for something.

12 By selling in this forum you are agreeing with all of the above

Other rules and suggestions can be added.
