Yall... on November 27th, Fukumura will have been leader for 7 years... nearly 1/3 of MM's 24-year-existence.

Also, Sato's grad will set a new record for interim between graduations.

Prior record was held by Platinum Era lineup at 2y 7m between Yoshizawa's graduation and Kusumi's graduation (disregarding Fujimoto's resignation).

New record will be 2y 11m 27d between Iikubo's graduation and Sato's.

 

The previous single, Junjou Evidence / Gyuusaretai dake na no ni, set the current record of a 47 week interval between official singles. The upcoming graduation single will set a new record of 51 weeks. That's right... 1 week short of an entire year between single releases.

Only now have I realised that 12ki have been around for 7 years already... it's crazy to think that they will soon pass Haruna, and 13ki will pass Riho by the end of the year.

Yes, it feels like Haruna has been in the group for a long time but then you realize the current 12ki members are likely to surpass her tenure, which is insane.

Even Sakura is likely to hit the 10 year mark and overtake Ai-chan's tenure.

 

And if Erina is going to graduate before she becomes a leader (which I believe she will), she will be the member with one of the longest tenures that has never been a leader, overtaking Reina.

Just wanted to drop in and say that Satou's graduation ended the 2nd longest lasting MM lineup.

 

#1 Platinum Era (beginning with Fujimoto's resignation and ending with Koharu's grad) from 6/2/2007 - 12/6/2009 = 2 years, 6 months, 4 days

#2 Fukumura Era (beginning with addition of 15th gen and ending with Masaki's grad) from 6/22/2019 - 12/14/2021 = 2 years, 5 months, 21 days

#3 Michishige Era (beginning with Tanaka's grad and ending with 12th gen's addition) from 5/22/2013 - 9/29/2014 = 1 year, 4 months, 7 days

 

As you can see, they got so close (2 weeks) from breaking the record and left 3rd place in the dust.

Out of 43 iterations of the group, only 5 lineups break an average starting age of 19 years old, and 3 of them have been since 2018. The majority of lineups begin 16<18.

What's interesting is with this last lineup, it smashed the tied record (5) of adults and set new record of 10 members aged 20+, so even once 9/10/11 are gone, you're still going to be left with a high average age.

Lineups, at best, last roughly a year with only a handful exceeding 1 year at all. Given that, I think we're about to see a new gen soon with a quick succession of graduations.

The current line-up now matches the 5-nin, post-Eri, JunJun, LinLin, pre-9ki group as the oldest average age of 21 years old. Quite a difference than the Sayu-led MM '14 whose average age was 16.5. It should be noted that, after Sayu's graduation, the group's average age dipped below 16 years old in the first and only time that occurred in group history.

Updating my Google Doc in preparation of the new member announcement on Wednesday, and discovered two things:

1) Morito's graduation left us with the highest ever average age at the end of a lineup (lineup 44) --- 21 years 8 months 25 days 

Previous record, as stated above, was 21 years 4 months 21 days

 

2) This current week-long interim lineup has the highest ever average age at the beginning of a lineup (lineup 45) --- 21 years 8 months 7 days

Previous record was lineup 26 (between EJL grad and 9ki announcement) at 21 years 4 months 21 days

Regarding the new member(s), this is the 2nd longest the group has ever gone between new members being added.

#1 The gap between Junjun/Linlin to the addition of 9th gen (3/15/2007 > 1/2/2011) = 3 years 9 months 18 days

#2 The gap between 15th gen to 16th gen (6/22/2019 > 6/29/2022) = 3 years 7 days

#3 The gap between 6th gen to Koharu (1/19/2003 > 5/1/2005) = 2 years 3 months 12 days

 

 

I realize I'm sort of jumping the shark here assuming MM will actually get members, but I figure they wouldn't announce the announcement if there were no results, right?

With Chiichan’s graduation, I noticed Fukuchan was leader of 6 consecutive generations of members. 7 if you include the remaining members of 9th gen under her. First time a leader achieved that. (Ai-Chan of course is 2nd longest leader but still) The leader after her will have to challenge that hahaha

Incredible to see Ayumi so high! I usually cheer for Erina to stay in the group for the longest time, but hadn't really taken into account that Ayumi is at her heels! I hope they both stay longer. And Sakura is already in the top 10!! So crazy!!

My only comment about the MM Visual Lineup document is the lack of Table of Contents.

It's hard to know Lineup_16 what it is about ?

 

A table with all the Linueup_numbers with a list of interval dates or something (generation, names, etc?!?) to give clues.

So, we could look it up easily.
