Just thought I'd show a tut on how I like to blend my images together
hope it's not too vague as I'm crap at explaining haha!

This was done using Adobe PS CS2

ok so step 1:
First of all choose images which are similar in colour, scenery or even costumes , (I tend to use images of sets as you can see from the concert sets I make)
So I'm using these two of Manos:

step 2: I've opened up a 400 x 120 size since that is what I tend to use.
Figure out where you wanna put the images, I tend to do this by seeing where the girl is positioned. So image no.1 will be on the left side and is the top layer whereas image 2 is on the right and is the bottom layer so it's behind.

As you can see here, but it doesn't look too pleasant because of the unblendiness of it [that isn't a word yes i know] so I'll show you how to sort that out.

step 3:
click on the eraser button but change the brush, I use one which was part of a pack called galaxy...i forget as I find it allows images to have a nice sort of fade out effect.


step 4:
Use the eraser tool over the part you want to get rid of, so I'm gonna erase where the two images connect from where it look pretty blocky, this should be done to the top layer as you can see on layer screen.

As you can see I've already done it which is why you can't see the blockyness so yeah can you see the blended fadeness. [man i should really use better words...and i do english language hehe

step 5:
Ok so if you'd like some nice effects to vibe out your images then what I like to do is make a new layer and add a nice coloured gradient as you can see below


step 6: Change the mode of the gradient filled layer, I chose vivid light and changed the opacity to 42% as you can..once again this kinda brightened the colours a bit more, but you can use any other..i recommend colour burn, soft light, overlay oh what the hay they're all pretty good to use if you use them rightly [...]


step7:flatten the images to merge all the layers together and using the filter section to sharpen the image. Then add a border and voila you're done

^Oh heh thanks and em I'm sure somehow it can be done with GIMP since I used to use that aswell and got the same results.

This one was pretty awkward since the big angry picture ended up being landscape so i needed to add the little picture to fill the gap in.
