This is my favourite drama so far. I recenlty watched "kamisama mou sukoshi dake" but "sekai no..." is still my favourite. I cried like 1000 times while watching it, and everything was great, the things they said, the music, the flashbacks...

... oh my god, I watched #4-11 in one sitting today. It's a good heartwarming drama, though you'll have to stick with it all the way to the end O___o.

Oh, and keep a box of kleenex or something around.... :]

Sample Clip Translation
Saku: Aki said that it was her best birthday yet. It was the first time I'd been told something like that. And this became Aki's final birthday. July 2nd, 1987... But will I continue living like this? I knew that it was best to forget...

yup i wud say dat dis s one of da most saddest jdoramas dat i hav seen so far
n dis was da first jdorama i actually watched. well its basically a grown man name Saku remenices about his past love n cant forget his first love Aki, she died n with dat he took some of her reincarnated bones n kept it for himself thinking dat he needed 2 forget about her
bu he jus cant n da story mostly focuses on wat happened back then da first episode will actually kinda make u sad
in the end he finally forgets n throws da ashes of da bones away
yup its one of da most saddest ive seen so far :crying

Well, after about 2 years looking for it, I finally saw the Sekachuu movie... liked it a whole lot more than the drama, maybe because things happen a lot quickier, but mostly because of Nagasawa Masami and Shibasaki Kou. I'm thinking about buying the novel, but since I have a loooong queue of things to buy and a very short budget it make take ages

I haven't seen the drama, but I saw the movie a while ago and it was great. Very sad, yet very heartwarming and

Although, I admit, the big reason I watched the movie was because Ken Hirai sings the theme song. <_<

This drama, watched about 2 years ago (my freshman year in college), is one of best things I've seen ever. The story's great, the acting is superb, the cinematography of the environment is breath taking, and it hits the heart. It's so good that I showed it to my dad, who watched it twice in about 1-2 weeks. He loved it as well and he's 67 (Not sure age has anything to do with it, but it's good).
In my opinion, I think you should watch the movie first and then the drama, since it's more detailed and involves more characters that helps the storyline flow.

Everyone seems to love this dorama, I wonder if I'm the only one who finds nothing special in it. This kind of a theme should make me cry a lot, but I only got teary eyes once. For some reason (I don't know myself why exactly ^^;) I was too aware of the actors just acting... and I didn't love the characters as much as I usually do in such dramas. I also thought the young Saku and the grown up Saku were way too different looking to be the same person. Anyway, I did finish it and it was quite nice to watch, just nothing special for me personally.
